Hey, i was wondering if anyone knows at what point the stock head gasket will fail under boost? Specifically the 2.3L felpro, but i will take 2.4L input as well.
I know in the past people have went FI on bone stock motors, and I am interested in the failing point of the HG, 10.0:1 pistons/rings combo. Thanks
Also, I understand that detonation is going to play a large role in these items failing, so lets pretend, on a motor that has been properly tuned, when would these items fail.

Should have picked that up rather than our 2 layer mls. Its all good
I hear the 2.3 fel pro likes to let go around 10 PSI. The graphite gasket should hold up much better. I have seen more fel pros burn out that graphite ones. Ill be rebuilding with a graphite gasket.
I've used a Felpro with ARP studs and pushed over 300whp without a failure.

yea thats What I've seen. If I were building this motor I would have went with the 3 but for a head job like I did I just went with another Oem.
