I was at work earlier today and saw something on one of our 'big red" pumps that gave me an Idea for getting a water source to your turbo on the LN2 motors. On the outlet of our water pumps we have that " neck/extension" piece that is part of the thermostat housing. Has anybody just drilled and tapped it for a feed for their turbo's? I highly doubt you would run into problems if it was drilled and tapped properly... Has anybody done this already, and is it the same for the eco and ld9's?
Of course the coolant will be hot......its whats going through the motor, but it's still colder than the heat from the exhaust. What do you have in mind notec? a separate coolant system like how the heat exchangers are on the gm charged eco's?
^^^That's what I was going to do had I kept my current T3. Seperate resovoir, cooler and pump so it'd be on it's own isolated system.

You could do that, although it would add considerable weight. I was referring more to
where you are pulling the coolant from (it's hottest point).

ah....gotchya it was just a thought i got at work, I really havent put much thought into it yet. I havent touched the cav in months...
FOR MY COOLANT SUPPLY I WENT FROM THE LITTLE ANGLED LINE OFF THE MAIN HARD LINE ON THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE TO THE TURBO, THEN FROM THE TURBO TO THE HARD HEATER LINE ABOVE THE TRANSMISSION!
yeah, I will be doing this too....pics of some that are done would help me out as well. I was just planning on going off the heater hoses myself, but I am always open to suggestions.
I HAVE PICS OF MY SET UP UNDER THE "2.2 NONECO TURBO SETUP" FURUM PAGE, ITS THE BLUE ONE ON THE 4TH PAGE
