1. You can do either one.

2. Your engine won't run hotter unless you did something wrong.

3. If you have an oil pressure gauge, yes. Most people just feed from the stock oil pressure "sender" location.

4. I would recommend NOT hooking that up until you have your car running right. Less things in the mix to begin with means less things that will screw up. Installing a boost controller incorrectly WILL cost you your motor. Setting it for your PSI is a matter of trial and error.

5. Thats fine.

6. Yes, you need to change your injectors. 310's will work for 6psi on a T3, but unless you have some other fuel delivery things like an FMU, they will not work at 8psi.

7. This is a matter of theory and debate, theory is that the closer it is to the throttle body, the less likely the back pressure wave is going to hit the compressor blades.

#1 witch one would be better to run

#2my engine isnt going to run any hotter i always thought it wouild cool

#3oil is fine thank you dont have enything else to say about it

#4ok so i dont need to hook up the boost control but how do i adjust my boost for my first start

#5would it be better is i ran a 3 inch down pipe in to 3 ich or is it just matter of opinion

#6i hav ethe fuel pump and yes i have fmu so i just need them to be instaled but i dont need to put the fuel pump in just the injectors and my fmu and that will be safe to run how many psi maximum with those installed

#7i dint realy understand the blow off valve theroy so if i put it closer o the engine it wont be as loud of a blow of valve sound is that what you are saying

#8i am realy worried about tuning this car i dontkow what to do to tune it before i start it some help on that would be thank full what i ahve to tune to get this thing ready to start and what to adjust to get it down to 6 psi ready to start

1) 2.3
2) I am not sure what your ? is
3) make sure you have a oil restrictor in there.
4) Find out what wastegate spring you have. If you have a 5 or 6 or 7psi spring in it just ket that regulate the boost until you want to up it then use the boost controller.
5) matter of opinion
6)Unless your fuel pump starts to fail it should hold up to whatever you amount of boost you run. You do have a wideband o2 sensor to monitor your air fuel ratio right?
7) Just put it as close to the throttle body as possible. The reason for doing so has nothing to do with the way it will sound. The reason is this is the least likly way to cause harm to your turbo.
8)You can't even begin to tune without a wideband so you know what your afr is.

You really need to fill out your profile so we know what year your car. It makes a differnce in your options for tuning it.

hey, shifted has lots of knowledge about the LD9, likely more than most on the site, and way more than myself, but I will give you another slight rundown:

#1 - the 2.3 HO manifold looks way cooler, and I personally run it, but either will work fine. I have seen no actual before and after dyno numbers, but it looks good

#2 Your engine itself will produce more heat, with more power comes more heat, I personally run 280whp on my 2.4 and the stock rad at 40+ c is enough to keep the engine cool. Having said that I do run an intercooler on the front of my car. You IAT's will also jump up greatly without an intercooler, and with the stock pistons I would personally never boost again without one.

#3 in between the cam towers, there is an oil pressure sender, most people tap into that, make sure you use an inline oil restrictor for your turbo. I bought mine from ATP turbo

#4 worry about that after you have it tuned for your lowest setting,

#5 thats a really good size, get all that heat away from that turbine. If you can make it work a 3" DP would be good too, I personally run a full 2.5" mandrel system.

#6 on my first turbo engine I ran the 310cc (www.injectors4u.com $99 for all 4) and my stock fuel pump kept up nicely, but you will need injectors, and don't boost until you can get it roughly tuned with a wideband.

#7 anywhere you have room from the intercooler to the TB.

Pick out the oil restrictor here that will thread into your oil feed line.
