well I just recently installed the gm supercharger on my ecotec with all tuning and fuel. exactly the way it comes from GM.
well my girl went to start up the car and it like choked on her so then she attempted again and it started but had a nasty idle to it. and the check engine light started flashing. so she turned it off and attempted to restart it and the light went away but then anytime you give it gas it starts flashing again and comes on.
the engine sounds like it is running rough. I thought maybe a plunger collapsed so I pulled the valve cover off and everything looked good. so what do yall think. the motor only has 45,000 miles on it and the supercharger has been on it for like 3 months before this concern.
thanks guys
flashing CEL usually equals misfires. check the plugs and then the coil packs. a lot of boosted ecos have had coil packs go bad. symptoms seem similar in your case. i could be wrong though
TRY TRADING OUT THE COIL PACK/ICM
IM SURE YOU HAVE A SPARE
*SORRY FOR CAPS
YEA i WILL SWAP IT WITH MINE AND SEE IF IT GOES AWAY. BUT KEEP THE SUGGESTIONS COMING
THANKS
sounds like a coil pack to me too...mine did the same thing.
wish someone made a better performing one for the ECO!
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?
YUP IT WASN'T THE COIL BUT THE CONTROL MODULE
