what do you mean how did I keep it...
theres nothing routed so I would have to remove it
It's all about owner preference on how you route the piping. There are about 5 different ways I can think of off the top of my head. Some keep a/c some don't, here's one from a car that no longer is turbo but is another idea on how to route the piping...
And another routed very similar...
Yes the a/c was removed in both of these cars, but it would be very easy to run the intake down or just put a filter right on the turbo.

yes its easy and yes you need a new belt. your eliminating an enitre pulley you need to talke up that slack with a much shorter belt

no a/c really sucks when its super hot out
but in NJ its cool or cold 3/4 of the year, so I don't mind so much
the extra space under the hood will be necessary for turbo shiot

Amen to this statement, it's a good thing I don't do that much stop and go driving. Moving all the time helps ease the pain.

couldnt have said it better PJ, in ohio it doesnt get to terribly hot out so when its hot you just deal with it with windows down and sunroof back. 2-55 air lol 2 windows down at 55mph
There is no way in hell u only drive 55 lol.

My old setup kept the AC and was a tubular header. It was designed around keeping the AC - I just had a 45 degree angle off the inlet to the turbo and the filter on that down near the steering rack.

Check out my Part Out List!! Great Prices !!

He doesn't, I've seen him
I don't have my AC anymore and it doesn't really bother me, until my g/f gets in the car and then she acts like she is going to die within the first 3 minutes of being in the car....

This summer was a pretty hot one though so it kidna sucked sometimes but you really get used to it.

I know exactly what you mean joe.
I hate the way my car runs with the AC on, so i never use it. I told my gf i deleted it, so now whenever she's in my car, all I hear is "OMG how do you not use yoru AC OMG its so HOT OMGOMGOMGOMG" drives me up the wall sometimes
Is the Hahn kit the only set-up you don't lose A/C ? I like my A/C on those 90 degree days. In PA it's not so much the heat that sucks, its the humidity. Its great to see how many different ways you can turbocharge an ecotec j-body.
Can some one please explain to me why all the eco dragsters I see have distributers?
WHAT the hell did they decied they didnt like technology?

Jcavi what do you mean distributors?
I really dont know how to run the intercooler piping while trying to keep my a/c...
I moved my fuel lines and i cut off my heater hoses because i dont need heat in Hawaii and they were in the way of my down pipe...
Should i run the piping from the turbo compressor facing UP or DOWN?

We are also running a distributor on our car. The reason is because a distributor is just so mechanically sound, that 'technology' is much more complicated. If you think about a distributors function, as long as your cam is turning, your spark plugs will be firing plain and simple. You can adjust timing just by turning the distributors head for basic running conditions and still program your timing with the right software if needed. To put it plainly, it works effectively, and its easy.
If you do not want to sacrifice your a/c guys, run your piping under the motor right through the indent in the oil pan. Or, I don't know if this has been tried, but you can run it right over the top of the motor similar to the way Hahn RaceCraft's cobalt kit is designed. There may not be enoug hood clearance, but worth a try if a/c is important enough.
