I was wondering if anyone could help me out? I have a 2000 z24 and looking to boost it. What I want is just around 200 hp and fast spool. But I would also like to be able to here the turbo at idle so I know I would need a small turbo but I dont want one to small that when my rpms get high the turbo couldnt handle it. I looked at a T25 but i hear they suck. Does anyone have any suggestions?
You probably won't be able to hear any turbo spool at idle. Standard T3 with a .48 A/R turbine and .42 A/R compressor would work well if all you want is 200hp. T3 Super 60 would be better if you want to crank the boost a little in the future. Both will give you very fast spool, and the Super 60 will give you a little more power potential.

what is the power potential of teh super 60 in a properly tuned application for a 2.4?
Thanks for the info. I do not have to much knowledge of turbos and need all the help I can get really. How much horsepower can a stock 2.4l non ecotec hold , I dont want to have to much boost and destroy my engine , after all it is my everyday driver.

At 7psi and a slipping clutch I made 240hp/280ft-lbs. T3S60 is good to the low 300's, after that you want a T3/T4.

Thanks Ron, I guess thats a decent amount of power untill I build a motor for boost
