questions guys! for those who turbocharged cavy 2.4 motor running either 5 or 6psi on there set up, non build motor cuz I just purchased turbo log manifold and T3/TO4E turbo and Spearco intercooler and 2.5 charge pipe and HKS SSQV and Accel FPR, tial 38mm wastegate and SAFC 2, that all I can think of for right now, I just wanna know what do I need to finish my turbo set up, I don't wanna blow my motor up at all and if any j's out there can help me on my first set up like I said I wanna push either 5 or 6psi, so tell me what do I need, if so post it,
thanks J's
At the very least you need a FMU. I also did not see you list injectors. Stock injectors might be ok for 5-6psi, but bigger injectors would be better. Also a HPT set-up would be better than a FMU.
FU Tuning
you need 310cc injectors w/ s/c reflash at least....
or
HPTuners
my cavy is 1999 I did a motor swap off of grand am 01 with 20,000 miles on it and I think I need 2000-2002 pcm z24 manual, and I need to 310cc injector in order reflash it right,
Injectors, yes.
2000-2002 PCM, Not necessarily..... I have a 99 Z24. Using HPT I did a write entire on my 99 pcm with a 2000 supercharger reflash file and.... It works with a FEW minor issues. 1. Stock tach doesn't work (doesn't matter to me I have an autometer DPSS which provides a working tach). 2. Engine coolant temperature gauge doesn't work and the cooling fan is always on. (I use an autometer ECT gauge anyway). 3. All engine warning lights are on (more of an annoyance than an issue), but the check engine light is NOT on.
I could care less about the features that don't work, the car runs fine and I had no wiring to change. Also, I can always write entire the original 99 file and OS when I feel like it. The bottom line is, it's nice to have options.
if so man that would be great buddy for me cuz it been bother me like crazy lol let me know when u post it thanks!
