guys gotta take into thought.. mild tune, it has been destroked to a 2.0, it has more aggressive cams for a wider powerband, and probably the biggest factor... that nice lil turbo isnt in its "sweet spot" as far as psi. interesting to see what happens when its happy and making 20-25psi.

as far as the honda out reving. b16s go to 8200. adams dyno was to 8k.. i dont see how thats out reving really..

I wasnt talking about a stock B16, Adams motor is fully built, a fully built B16 can rev to 10 or even 11 grand that was all i was saying and if you read i said all he needs is more dyno time to tweak the bugs so he can get more torque, I know its first stages of his tune and i know he hasnt hit the sweet spot yet

that has to do with a b16s rod stroke being damn near pefect for that kind of revs. not the fact that its a "built" motor. keeping in mind that it has a really short stroke.

You guys are all right to degrees. Yes as far as HP per Torque, the torque is low. But, after going to the track yesterday and running an 11.87 with some really bad traction and some 1.6/1.7 60 foot times, the torque number isn't affecting us yet all that much. Also, we have a boost building factor that is part of the DFI which will allow me to build boost on the line to get the car moving and when I upshift, i hit 5500 RPM which is just when the turbo gets happy. I assure you bigger numbers as the season goes on, but for what we were trying to do yesterday, it worked just fine. I have videos of all of my passes which I will upload, but I'm sure many others will beat me to it.

damn id be on cloud 9 if i could pull a 1.6 or 1.7 hows the car to drive around turns with that locker up front?
btw, what was your trap speed on that 11.87? hehe only 4/10ths off yoru best run last year on a rough tune and 1st time out with a brand new setup. kick ass man. were you using that 2 step feature when u ran that 11.87?

Alright, here are the vids.

The first pass this season I bogged the heck out of it off the line. I only went to the 1/8th mile because we wanted to be sure everything was working ok and it was.

http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t217/adamhahn/?action=view¤t=M2U00008.flv

The next pass we decided to do a 1000 ft shot. It was a much better launch, a 1.67 60-foot if i remember correctly.

http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t217/adamhahn/?action=view¤t=M2U00009.flv

This was our first full track pass and we ran an 11.87, not to shabby eh? It was a low 1.7 60-foot.

http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t217/adamhahn/?action=view¤t=M2U00012.flv

This was our last pass of the day. We tried to boost it a little harder and the track just wasn't ready for it. I tried to compensate for no traction on the line and ended up bogging it slightly. I also got the tires loose in 3rd gear down track and got pushed out of the groove. In either case, it was another 11.87.

http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t217/adamhahn/?action=view¤t=M2U00017.flv

I'm sure you noticed the burnouts were all kinda iffy. I am a little out of practice and the upgrade to the line wasn't helping, oh well lol. I will get better at those as the season goes on.

hey adam, how exactly did you wire up your launch control?? I have mine set so that when the clutch is depressed it engages it, but it cuts everytime I shift... do you have a toggle inline too??

I have ours wired to the stock clutch/nuetral safety switch. I just cut the wires, looped them together so the car can start w.o the clutch, grounded one wire comming from the switch, and connected the msd launch control wire to the other. Works great.

NIIIICE.

I bought some injector clips from you guys today, and i was snooping at your car, it was outside... Its beastly looking.

And those rear tires are TINY! maybe thats because the fronts are huge, but it seemed that way to me.

Nice work!

Ok, internet was down here at home so I have quite a few questions to answer.

John: The 407 WHP dyno pull was on c16 or 114 octane.

Karo: The burnouts are in 2nd gear.

Eric: The Comp Cams are some what of a custom piece we had made for this motor. The Intake is 8762 and the Exhaust is 8763

Jcavi: The plans are to run it at a better track lol. Don't get me wrong, GLD does well with what they have. But our home track is Route 66 and there are twice as many slick cars there at a test and tune than GLD. I think there were like 5 cars with slicks at this past event lol.

Ge_force: We actually have a two switch process for the two step. There is a clutch switch and the other switch is on my line lock button which is on my stick. I pull up to the line, disengage the clutch (first switch) press the brake to stop and press the line lock which only locks my rear wheels (2nd switch) and then go to full throttle. When I leave, I just let go of the button and drive the car off the line like I normally would. So if you have problems cutting out when you disengage the clutch, I suggest making a second switch. On our RS eclipse, we actually had it on the window wiper fluid stalk. So be creative, as long as you can get to the stick soon enough for the 1-2 upshift. All of this is run and controlled through our DFI setup.

Adam what are the specs on the custom cam you have and also what is the operating power range for the cams, thanks.

I'm sure the cam information is proprietary info, as it is a special setup for that car, and not for the rest of the world.

Nah my car is no street car now, i was just wondering the specs because i am having a problem justifiying how i want my powerband and it seems i am going to have to do a custom cams setup, so i was just trying to see what route he went with to get some ideas, but i am only reving to about 7600 not 8000 grand because i am keeping the 2.2 stroke and running a custom gt35r with a .58ar on the exhaust for faster spools so i will be seeing full spool about 3500 rpms so i want a cam setup that will have a operateing powerband from 3000-7600 with a moderate to decently high duration and lift but also remain a high lobe separation angle so i wont lose spool up time.

Sorry for the essay haha , any suggestions would help out.

Not to sound rude or anything Eric, but lets be honest. Your setup is different in just about every single way. Our cams are somewhat custom and built for a GT40R with a .85 AR, much larger than yours in both compressor and turbine sides. We have a 2.0 motor, you have a 2.2. We are likely going to rev to at least 8500 in long run, 7600 for you. The best thing you can do, is contact a cam company and tell them what you have. I dont know if they will make a custom setup for you or not, but if they do, it won't be cheap lol. Hahn RaceCraft does not build cams so to be honest, we don't have all that great of information for you.

well your turbo is not much bigger than mine, i am running a 56 trim , with a GT42r compressor housing with a 4 inch inlet, and aT4 exhaust housing with A gt35r turbine wheel for faster spools and i did contact Comp Cams and they told me to get with someone that already had custom ones to see how they went, so that all i was asking and price is no option lol.

Which crank was used to make it a 2.0L engine? The 2.0L crank from a LSJ motor or the GM Crank?
