HOLY CRAP am i interested!!!......i had just about given up on upping the power on my cavy.....this just gave me new hope. I'm not getting another car so i might as well UPGRADE!!
I am sooooo sick of waiting. It seems like nothing is getting done. There are all sorts of promises that this is really going to happen, yet it can't even get off the ground because of a lack of measurements....what's goin on here? Is this still in the works, or has it been forgotten?

The alternative would be to build it yourself. I got sick of waiting, and now my car's for sale, but I'll be keeping an eye on this project. I do hope to see someone get it finished.

Like I just said, I need the measurements from an m62. If you or anyone you know has an m62 from an ss cobalt or the eco kit, have them get in contact with me. 97 trd hasn't gotten back to me with measurements, and I'm not ready to buy the m62 yet for mine. I will get it done come hell or high water. but I need a bit of assistance from the org as well.
this will actually be a pretty simple project, once I get the measurements..... I'm gonna send the measurements to my boy with the prototype m45 thats in the pics I posted, He's gonna get started making a manifold, then he's gonna send me the prototype, and I'll also be able to have a local shop fab a manifold as well. My boy with the prototype just had his dad die like 2 days ago, so I'm not trying to push anything on him right now, but I can send him the specs and then have him send me the blower, and things will get going rather quickly from that point.
SO again............... Who else has an m62???????????
I just need a couple measurements.
OR
ERIC!!!!! go get your blower out of the garage so we can get this thing going!

well I have been thinking about this for some time now, wouldn't you rather just measure your own M62? this way if there is an issue with any of the measurements, you know right away? Why rely on someone else? Just do it yourself with your own. If you are going to end up purchasing one anyway, whats the matter with waiting till you get one of your own and then measuring it...
what measurements do you need anyway?

do any of those help?

nope. The measurements I need are specifically from the eco m62.
97 TRD is local, but has just not gotten around to digging through his garage for his m62. Once he sends measurements, I'll send them to my boy in cali, and he' said he'll start mocking them up. Granted my boy in cali is notoriously terrible on timing, that's why I'm gonna have him ship the prototype to me. That way I can have a local shop make one as well, to get it done quickly and see how many people actually have the coin to throw down on this. Cuz if it's just a small handful of people, my cali guy isn't gonna be too quick to get a good number of them produced. BUT a local shop would be more than happy to.
But yea, I could wait till I get one of my own, but my cali guy wants me to send him measurements of an m62 before he sends me the prototype blower. soooooooooo who's got an ECO M62?

my GF has an M62 on her 06' Cobalt SS, I could take some measurements but that would be pretty hard to do with the s/c on the car

wheres my boost??
I'm just gonna buy an m62 myself. I'm tired of waiting. I just gotta find one for a good price, then It'll only really take a weekend to get done.
I'm just waiting till I can find an m62 from a cobalt for less than 650.

If a manifold company would produce this they would make good money. If I was still in my engineering school I would fab one, but ya not there. Somebody should jump on this M62 would be sweet.
~Boost. Its what's for dinner!~
What measurements do you need I have an M62 from an 05 Ion redline but I don't have the intake just the sc. Also if you go to Eaton's website they have all of the measurements for all of their superchargers on the site. I really want to see this get done because I have the supercharger I just need the intake, mounting brackets, idler pulley & crank pulley and I'm golden. I'll be ordering my hp tuners in the next few weeks, but if this isn't going to get done I'm just going to buy a used or new M45 kit and call it a day until my turbo motor gets done.

im going to say this on here once more,
why not take a LSJ intake manie and fab up and adaptor flange, that way its intercooled.....
just an idea.

Will the LSJ set up fit in the engine bay?
Mike are you designing one with an intercooler? Or at least holes for meth injection?
PSN ID: Phatchance249
If this works I might have to look into switching to a supercharger.
~Boost. Its what's for dinner!~
definitely holes for alchy injection... possible intercooler. It'll be about 4 weeks till I can make it to cali, but he should have all the materials ready for me, and I may try to see if the lsj mani will fit too. We will definitely have a few options to play around with.

mike didnt you ever get the measurements ?
i never heard from you so i assumed you did
I got most of them, but didn't wanna get something fabbed up off just measurements. So I just waited for an m62 to pop up for cheap. Got it now. Maybe I'll swoop up an lsj manifold before I go out to cali. I know there's one in the classifieds right now, but I haven't gotten an email back from him yet.
and Taetsch Z24, have you actually placed the manifold where it would bolt up at and found that there were no clearance issues? If the j-body has none, then I'm pretty sure my n-body will have plenty of room.
And I assome there are vacuum nipples on the manifold for the map sensor and IAT sensor as well?
If the lsj mani works out properly, then this will be cake. All we'll need to make is an adapter for the manifold to the head, and one for the TB to the blower. Might be able to get it done in one day and have the rest of the weekend to screw around with tuning it
Anyone know how long hptuners is taking to ship?

so since this has been a thought since sept 2005 and so far there has been a supercharger purchased... I take it there should be at least another two years till its finished? Just a guestimation. I gotta be honest, I'm not that optimistic.
