here is the deal. my girl has a 98 cavalier. it has been through some heavy business. kinda personal car to her. well we recently began redoing the car, started with body kit, wheels, suspension, etc. i happened to come across a totaled from the rear 2005 cavalier. i plan on swapping ou the complete ecotec, wiring, tranny, and all into the car. now we planned on giving the car just a littl epower so i would like to supercharge the motor with the factory setup. i dont know a whole lot about the j-body but im no stranger to building cars. my question is; what are the differences in the NA and he supercharged ecotec. basically i want to get together a parts list. i figured it wouldn be much more than just the ecu, supercharger, wiring harness, and maybe underdrive pulley. of corse i do have plans on upgrading the fuel pump so thats not necessary. thanks alot.
Don't quote me on this, but I believe the differences with the LSJ versus the L61 is the:
-head
-cams
-Forged pistons with a lower CR (for the LSJ)
-shorter throw on the LSJ crank (2.0L vs 2.2L)
A stock L61 can take a pretty good beating, but there are companies like Eagle, JE, ROSS, or Wiseco that can provide you with forged internals for your ECO if you don't feel like risking it.
Also, you don't want an underdrive pulley with a supercharger unless you are trying to lose boost/horsepower. You either overdrive the charger with an overdrive crank pulley (larger than stock) or with an overdrive charger pulley (smaller than stock).

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.
buy the car swap the motor in and do the gmpp supercharger kit
you have to swap the ENTIRE HARNESS , from the front to the tail lights , swap the dash , and gauge cluster
swap in the eco as it sits from that car , then install the s/c kit from GM
also the way you have this titled its a topic for boost , not performance
well the good news is that i have all of that. dash, harness, gauges, tranny, suspension, brakes, and the engine. can anyone give me a good link as to where i can purchase the supercharger kit from gm?

horsepower is how hard you hit the wall, Torque is how far you push the wall with you
thank you much ill check it out.
what if he wants to peice together a kit himself?
