Does anyone know the best place to put the 02 bung? Im taking it to an exhaust shop today I just need to know where most people put it. I know it goes before the cat, but close to the manifold? where?
6-8 inches from the collector, at a 45 degree angle to the pipe. Its not really supposed to be straight up and down, or level. Mine is straight up and down and it works, but its said to collect moisture more those ways and decreases the life of the sensor.

AEM recommends the bosch sensor sitting 10-15 degrees up from horizontal, and on boosted applications at least 24-30" from the turbo outlet, otherwise the sensors fail prematurely.
If I had my manual here I could take a picture for you, but that is what AEM with the BOSCH sensor says. At the dyno it was placed about 3-4" from my turbo, he wanted it as close as possible.

i had mine close to the collector of the header , and it cooked the sensor in less than a year
if i had it to do over id put it right in front of the cat converter
k so which is it, near the collector? or right before the cat?
closer you are the quicker it will burn out.

so it doesnt matter close to the collector or cat both will have the same reading?
you scratch my ride IMA EAT YO CHILDREN
as long as its before the cat and not after the cat
there should be any change in the reading unless there is a exhaust leak before the sensor

I believe it's fine to have it straight up and down, the moisture collection issue occurs when it is in the bottom half of the pipe, as per the Innovate Motorsports manual that came with the LM1.
