I got an intercooler from ebay and was a little concerned that it might be too big to fit in a 1998 cavy with the regular non-z24 bumper. I thought it would be too tall but I really wanted one with the inlets and outlets on the same side, so I was pretty much stuck in what I could get. The dimensions are 30 inches wide by 8 inches tall and 3.3 inches deep. I had to cut the stock hood latch supports off to fit the fmic a little behind the bumper support, but I can fabricate them to the sides without any big problem. It will get pleanty of air flow and won't stick under the bumper cover. Here are some pics, comments/questions are welcome.

I might if the price is right, but the cheapest one I found out was about $150.

looks good, but I would paint the intercooler black.

Do you think the top half of the FMIC will mind not getting air?

sucks that was the only size you could find.

I would have gone with something that had inlet/outlet on opposite ends.

the less corners the air has to make, the more efficiently it will flow

that squared off 180 is going to kill airflow
