So im thinking of doing my own turbo...only prob is i am having a hard time finding a manifold for my sunfire. its a 2002 2200....any help? (and i have read the FAQ)
best bet is ebay..those ones are fairly cheap and from what ive heard not a bad product..phil
ive lookd there and cant find any..........
The cheapest way is to find an old Sunbird 2.0L OHV turbo manifold and use that. It's a direct bolt on and costs $25 at a junkyard.

IT does
NOT bolt on to the 2200...also it doesn't use a t3 flange so good luck finding a good turbo to use for the 2200..

I must disagree. I have both bolted on and used the manifold on my boosted 1999 Sunfire 2200. As for a turbo try the T-25, it's both light weight and quick spooling.

I own both a Sunbird 2.0 and a 2.2 powered Cav. Both are turboed. Manifolds do not swap. Center to center distance is different between exhaust ports, bolt hole spacing is different, and centerline through bolt holes on a port is mirror image on the 2.0 but same angle on 2.2. 2.2 requires custom manifold. Sunbird uses T25 turbo and will not bolt to a T3. T25 is small for the 2200. It works for low levels of boost but runs out of boost in a hurry.
