I have a completely stock 2004 Ecotec coupled to a 5-speed that needs more power. I want a supercharger but im unsure as to what else I need. Besides the kit itself what other supporting mods would you all recommend? I have a couple of ideas but I dont know the "must haves". Im still learning about boost so any help would be appreciated!

Well they say 200whp with the charger and when i dynoed my car with a small turbo at 206hp and 229ftlb torque my clutch was iffy. Id definately recommend a clutch. Boost gauge would be nice along with a wideband but thats just for personal comfort. Im pretty sure there have been several complaints that the reflash makes you run crazy rich under full boost. Honestly id do alky injection along with the charger and a clutch and that would probably make you crazy happy until you get used to that amount of power. But it really depends on what your looking for what are your goals ? do you just want to bolt on and drive?

bigger TB, 3 or 5 angle valve job, p&p the head or even a patriot stage 2 head would be good, at least a 2.5 inch exhaust, 4-1 header, maybe even some cams

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
Ok lets do this...I have a stock cavy and 3500 to work with...what should i do? Thanks again.

if you dont have the supercharger already ... that along with the other mods to make it worth buying ...
heat exhanger ( still confuzzed on this subject ), holding tank, and cap for the tank to use the aftercooler that is inside the supercharger.
and if your lucky, a pace setter header, with 2.5" full exhaust

You'll have to forgive me im just a little excited. I'll start fully researching this tomorrow but I do have one question and ill leave everyone alone. Can the Supercharger be run off a stock exhaust? Not long term...or should I wait until I have every single piece i need for the install?
you dont NEED anything else if you buy the charger its meant to bolt right onto the stock ecotec and drive. yes its better to exploit things like the intake tract and exhaust but nothing is "needed" beyond the supercharger kit. It bolts on with the reflash you can drive everyday like that. But yes with 3500 if you order from pace its about 2500 maybe a little more with shipping then 100 for the reflash depending on dealership. So if you have a g to spend i would personally save like another couple hundred bucks and buy the patriot stage 2 head, header, intake and you should make some disgusting power.

like he said... just buy the damn charger, then decide if you want or need to upgrade other stuff.... nothing will break with the charger kit just by itself
