Some times the best way to get that tailgater off your but is to light a fart.
back from the dead!!!! Just a couple of questions. I am in afghanistan so resources are very, very limited. Could someone point me in the right direction to get prices for these setups? Ive searched this site along with some saab sites and cant find any part numbers or sites where i can find them. I cannot use ebay here except for MWR and that is down right now...

and although i am the network manager for the site i am at, I have no access to the blocked sites (those are blocked by the main Hub down south).
Just trying to do some research. Please help me!!!!!!

2003 and up is fine. I know someone that can sell you the Garrett GT2052 turbo for $375 shipped, and I know another person with a virtually new 2003 saab 93 turbo manifold to go along with it for a low price. You'll pretty much have a full turbo system for less than $1500 that will give you upwards of 230 to 240 whp with about 270 to 290lbs of torque. Not bad in my book! Plus it's soooooo fun to drive because there's virtually no lag.
Brandoson dynoed his car with the Garrett GT2052 in it at 9psi and got 200whp with 270lbs of torque. I'll have a dyno next month at 12psi, which should land me in the 230whp range possibly. Nevertheless, you will be very happy with the results.
^^^^^^^^^ NOT TRUE.
BRANDON HAS THE HO TDO4-... VERSION AND DYNOED THAT NUMBER.
WE PUT THE GARRET ONE ON THERE AND HE SAID IT WAS JUNK....IT WASNT FAST AND EVEN BOOSTED TURNED UP THE POWER WAS NOTHING LIKE THE TDO4 VERSION.
AS FOR LOOKING UP 2003......I WOULD RECOMEND THE 2004 AND NEWER.........AS IN 2003 THERE WHERE 2 ECOTEC TURBOS AND A DIFF TURBO FOR A DIF ENGINE. AND MAJORITY OF THEM ARE FOR THE DIF ENGINE.

Actually I beg to differ on that fact...
The garret turbo is great, spools up real quick and provides for a thrilling ride. I was neck to neck with a stage 2 SRT4 and I'm only running 6psi.
The turbo diffenitly has potential, it's just a matter of getting my bottom end built before I up the boost. I believe the garret can handle 15-17psi.
Snowman, here's EXACTLY what Brandon said to me via e-mail:
I am actually selling my current setup with everything needed for $2000. If he is interested I can send the full parts list. I did make another downpipe, its exactly the same but has a flex pipe at the end. Thats the only difference. It costs me more to make though cause those 2.5" flex pieces are not cheap. I have a spare garrett GT2052 which is the other saab turbo. I actually cannot tell the difference in power between the two. I tested it on my car. It spooled 12 psi real fast and pulled strong. I am also willing to sell charge pipes and downpipes separate from the full kits. Let me know if I can help with anything.
Brandon
Odd he told you it was junk. Besides, I have several people that I helped hook up that love their Garrett GT2052 setup.
Maybe you'll think twice before trying to make an ass out of me or any other board member.
Anyway guys, this is the main reason why I don't post much here. I have a lot of respect for many of the

members, but there are just some that qualify to get a Darwin Award that I just can't stand.
Sasuke : if you only knew the whole story. Im the one who sold brandon the setup he is running. I even helped him fab up the charge pipes downpipe ect. I even ordered alot of his parts.
He has a garret turbo yes.....but he is running the tdo4. the reason he is selling "his setup" is because his brother jared wanted the tdo4 turbo setup. I have been to the shop on many occasions, mostly to work on his car. I have seen both turbos there too. And it makes me wonder.
If i had 2 different turbos, one being better, and one being just ok. Which one would i sell. hmmmm Im gonna give the better one to my brother for his setup and sell the left over garrett. Yea that sounds about right.

Hmm lets see.....i helped him install both setups and have driven both.

my project car. I have FINALLY made up my mind on what I will do as far as turbocharging goes. Therefore I will gladly state that I am going to use a 2003 Saab 9.3t turbo(mitsu td04), cast manifold, and injectors as a starter. Charge pipes and an intercooler will come as well as all the other necessary modifications that allow a turbo kit to become reliable.

I believe you already did it(make an ass out of yourself). and i dont care if you think you are the god of this swap because your not.
Me and brandon worked together to get all this info out there. I actually posted all the information on the saab setup before brandons car was running. because i sold him his current setup. Just because he is making and selling the kits doesnt mean hes the one that did all the research behind it.
And because you are one of the random few who has the setup....well good for you. I could give a rats ass less. And btw i spent less than 600 for my setup.....turbo pipes downpipe.....hmmmm

brandon liked both , but the td04 was the better of the 2
Snowman, lol. Yes I have a TD04, so what? The Garrett is good too. End of story. Also did I ever say that,"I am the god of the Saab setup?" I don't think I am either. I'm far from the expertise that some of the members of this board possess, so don't criticize me for something I never claimed to be the "God" of, ok? I am merely being helpful from my own experience. Brandon gave me a link to AZJBO and told me to look at his dyno numbers. Oh and just so you know the whole story, fellow board member:
yes ill sell the turbo on its own. I paid $450 for it, but I'll let it go for $400 shipped. btw did you ever see my dyno numbers with my setup? On 9 psi I hit 200 hp and 270 ft/lb of tq. The dyno charts are posted on AZJBO.com in the "main" area. I hit peak torque at 3300rpm and peak hp at 4600rpm if i remember right. The exact numbers are on the charts I posted on azjbo.
Brandon
Maybe what he was claiming as "my" setup was the TD04, but he never specified. All we were talking about was the Garrett, so logically I thought he used it on the dyno since he said that it pulled just like the TD04.
Tell ya what, I'll be the bigger man and apologize for being a cock earlier. Just next time please be a bit more thoughtful about the things you say and how you reply to others. Even if you don't mean it, what you say can p-iss somebody off. There was no reason to use caps in your reply to my post anyway.
Anyway,

it's all done. Can we all get along now? LOL!
Thats cool man i didnt mean hard feelings.........
as for the caps read my sig......i was @ work....and they are to cheap to buy new keyboards.

damn i didn't mean to start a fight! Thanks for the info guys and Brandons price is great but unforntunately my wife went home for a month and some how we went from $3000 to $100 in the bank

! money should be back up in a couple of months but for the most part I was just seeing where i could get the parts and how much this setup would cost me versus the HAHN setup.
So will the TDO4 run 8 psi?

^^ that is exactly right.
im sorry for not clarifying but my car was dynoed with the mitsu TD04 not the garrett.
They actually feel very similar in spool time and power, the TD04 has just an edge over the garrett in power it seems.
For the record Snowman did a lot of research and helped in the shop in helping me get this setup to where it is now. He even sold me my original manifold and turbo that i used to make the kit.
I am selling the kit off my car like they said, im also selling charge pipes and downpipes separate for those who want them.

Does anyone have pics of the Saab Intake manifold?
here is one.

I am probably getting the Saab Manifold and T-25 Garret turbo from a 9-3. Would the downpipe and charge pipes fit that setup? How much are you asking?
