I don't think anybody ever said it wouldn't work. The concept is simple.. just add a supercharger to a turbo kit. The arguement was that it wouldn't be faster than a well-built turbo set-up which I will still say is totally true. Since the show aspect is your thing though, congrats on the install and I'm glad it all worked out!
Did you ever get an intercooler on there?

right now its just a straight pipe across the front... i sent my money to johny race car and he got it friday i think so should be soon then i can just pull out the middle pipe and insert the intercooler
i have a 6psi waste gate spring in and i am seeing 6psi on my gauge so its working like i thought it would... going to go with the 10psi one tomorrow and see how it goes...
Manifold is a custom one made by DerekZ24.. well i bought his hole kit as well..
Minion - there was TONS! of people who said it wouldnt work, i think my off the line times will be better then a normal 2.4L turbo with the same boost.. im seeing full spool up before 2000rpm with a bigger turbo then they would be running so my top end will be bigger as well... i think my hp and tq numbers will be the same as a 2.4L turbo on the same boost level, but its how i get there and how steep the power curve will be is what will be different
thank you all ...

i must say thats something you dont see every day. thats it i will now go and put twin turbo on stock internals lol
full boost under 2000rpm? yeah I have that with my T3/T04E on my Ho. the boost start at 1500rpm and full boost (10psi) at 1700rpm.
kind of annoying in town tough since I can't go without boost. as soon as I touch the gas pedal, I see boost.

That's awesome man!! A friend of mine is doing the samething to his cavalier but with a fully built motor. He's not finished yeat but hopefully soon. Can't wait to see videos and time trials good luck with everything.
he said he was changing to 440's congrats man i just want to see the dyno sheet to see if there are any real imporvements. I would think there would since your compressing already compressed air but i dont know if those 440's are gonna be enough and where is your wastegate boost signal coming from? under the charger or before the charger because if its under the charger it should be right but if its before the charger the motor should see more boost.

unless you plan on driving around on slicks through town or at the track, i doubt that spooling a turbo that big that soon is really going to HELP your 60's.... I never said it wouldn't work, and I'm sure it'll probably have the fattest "area under the curve" that any street j-body has ever had, but i dunno, coming from someone who had a turbo small enough to spool off of idle, having all that power coming in that soon really isn't all its cracked up to be, especially on street tires. Good luck with it though man, hope to see some impressive dynos and track results soon, just don't get too boost happy without the intercooler and bigger injectors.

Shifted - yea i was looking back over the chart i had made up to see how far off i would be with 10psi and 310cc injectors and i was thinking i would have been closer but i guess not so im not going for that untill i get the 440's in
the intercooler should be along soon as well.. i think the johny race car place got my money friday....

440's will be good for a while yet.... my waste gate is seeing what is going into the engine so it is a very good controler for boost as the turbo will be always adjusting to whats going into the engine... the boost gauge would always go right up to 6psi and stay there even when i got up to about 6000rpm...

well im getting a full set of Auto X tires from my hockey coach since he owns a Kal tire here... he said he has some new kind coming in that i can test out... not sure what brand they are yet though... but my uncle is getting me into Auto x this year big time so with this big low end power it will be nice to have but i know what you mean about on the street... ahah and i will try not to get boost happy... but i know i will.. i ALWAYS turn up the boost in my dads gnx while im driving... ahah its fun to turn it up to 30psi ahah no traction at any speeds really

that is why i am not putting in a boost controller right now ahaha

aahahaah man i cant belive you just said that... i just had a kid tonight tell me he would still blow me away in his honda cuz he has vtec ahahaahah he said his top end would out perform mine any day... ahah and he was 100% seriouse ahahaha
yea here are just 2 videos... the turning of the engine to built up oil pressure before i started it (told me to do that with the instructions that came from garrett) and the first start up...
**NOTE** it sounds like @!#$ because
1. its open turbo and no down pipe (well i have a make shift one in there just to direct the hot gas down and not melt my water pump and what not... but no where is it bolted up or any thing...
2. the video was taken on my digital camera...
turning engine over building up oil pressure

Sickness, I'm wondering how this comes out, twin charging sounds like a really good idea for mine, (if i can make it work)...
Its not a bad idea but do expect LOTS!!! of custom stuff... none of this was a kit, i put it all togeather my self... well i guess the GM s/c'er was a kit but the turbo stuff was all custom done only things store bought were the turbo and intercooler (well and the waste gate/ BOV)
but for only spending $6000 for the entire turbo kit and supercharger kit its not bad i would say...

I don't know the trim. I just know the A/R. I'd like to know how to find the trim.
the A/R on the turbine side is .48 and the compressor side is .70.
The inlet for the compressor is 2.5" I.D. and the outlet is 2"I.D. The whole inlet is 4" tough.

I don't really understand why people are so impressed by this. This car will have great low end sure but low end doesn't much matter when racing, it only helps to destroy your tires and make your launch harder.
It may look and sound cool but in the end the same car with turbo alone is still going to beat it in any sort of racing.
To each their own.
