I just added a Kenwood KAC 8401 640 watt amp to my system. This amp is powering two RF 6943 (?) 6x9's. Now, whenever i turn on anything electrical I get a small pop or crackle from the two amp'd speakers. This didn't happen before the amp, and it doesn't do that on the front speakers that are driven by the HU.
I have two of these RF RCA cables from the HU to the amp

and i have about 10 ft total of this from my amp to the 6x9's.

The amp is on the back of the rear seat on the driver's side.
The RCA cables were run from the HU to the passenger side below the dash, then into the side molding and in to the trunk.
anybody have any ideas??
thanks
Does it only happen when you turn on certain things? It sounds like you getting noise from a relay clicking. If that's the problem you'll have to put a diode across two of the contacts to solve the problem.

It happens when i turn on anything electrical, windshield wipers, headlights, press the brakes, signal lights, HVAC fan...
anybody else have any ideas??
