Kicker L7 question 2ohms or 4ohms?

Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I just want to know what the diffference between getting an L7 that is 2 ohms to one that is 4 ohms. Which one is better and why. I will be running it off a Clarion APX320.2. Also I listen to all kinds of music from rock to hip-hop should I get a 10" or a 12" I still want the bass to be loud.

Are you going to be running one or two? If one get the Dual 2 ohm and wire one coil to each channel. If two get the dual 4 ohm and wire them in parallel. Neither will be better, it just gives you different impedences when you wire them. Are you going to be staying with that amp for awhile? If so I would say save your money and get a sub that will fit the power of the amp better, maybe an L5 or a CVR. No sense in buy a sub that can use 600 watts RMS if you're only going to be giving it 200.

Hey thanks for the info I'm planning to put my current amp to the speakers and getting a more powerful clarion amp to match the smaller one.
