Speaker Problem
Thursday, May 19, 2005 11:49 AM
Well, I was cutting out holes in my doors for the speakers, and as I unscrewed my speaker I dropped it. Now, it ont dropped 6 inches to the ground, and landed on the back, but it messed something up. When I hooked it up it sounded like it was blown or something. I hooked it up to the other door and it did the same thing, and I hooked the other speaker up and the other speaker was fine. Now, my question is what to do. I e-mailed hoodkdontronic(sp) because thats where I got it from and told them one of my speakers is defective, and am attempting now to get a replacement. If this does not work... does anyone know where and how much I can just buy 1 speaker without having to buy my whole component set (Infinity Kappa's 60.5cs). Any suggestions are appreciated.

you may have bent the basket or something. similar to what happens when you screw a speaker down and it bends

allot of places dont sell just one speaker. u may have to try and go to the company direct. but ya might not want to tell them u bought it over the internet. say your grandmother bought them for you but she passed away and u dont know where they came from.

Thanks guys. I e-mailed hookedontronics and this is what they said.

Hi Tom,

We have received your request for exchange/refund. Because

What do you think? Should I try this route first? Thanks in advance.
