I heard that the newer stock radios have an aux input in the back of them. I just got an ipod and was wondering if it is true. I have the base model cavi with the base model cd/radio. If it is true how do you access it on the radio. Thanks.
yes the have a aux in put but its not a rca type
Best Buy sells an interface cable which will allow you to hook your iPod into the CD changer input on the stock deck

Is it a mini plug then or something i wouldn't be able to plug my ipod into
How would you acces the input. The icruzes are to expensive. That's why I'm hoping that i can do this for a couple of bucks.
It a propietary plug, only GM cd changers or aftermarket adaptors made for GM headunits will plug into it. Only other thing you could do is get an FM modulator. Griffin makes an iTrip, which plugs into the top of the iPod and transmits over FM frequencies, but there you're still lookin $30-$40

I heard the itrip from my buddy it didn't sound to bad i guess i'll go with that thanks for the help guys
ipod2car sells units that interface with the aux input and come with the adapter cables. They're pricy though ($200ish?) but connect to the dock connector on the iPod, not the mini plug. They allow you to use the radio controlls to control the iPod, fast forward, skip tracks etc. Thats the way to go if you have the money. I've got an iTrip... for now
