someone help me. i have a 500w bazooka amp and i have checked all the wireing and i cant figure out the pob. when i turn the volume up to about half way it cuts off. could it b a ground? but the thing is i hooked up a 300w bazooka amp to the same wires and it works fine. but the 500 just doesnt want to work wit me. it will put out high frequency but it wont put out the low to a cetain point.

What gauge wiring do you have going to the amp? If it's not putting out low fequencies, check the crossover on the side to make sure you don't have the high pass filter turned on.

i dont kno what gauge the wireing is. r u talkin bout the speaker wire or the power and ground wire? and what i ment by it doesnt put out low frequencys is that it will put it out but when i turn it up it will cut off. and i made sure the filter is on low pass. still need help. thanx though

I have a ela500.1 and am having problems with it too, it's getting hot and shutting off, even after proper adjustment of the gain and only running at 8ohm. I have 4ga power/ground and it worked fine with my old amp. I'm convinced the bazooka amps are just shlt. Sad thing is I'm running 2 Bazooka subs, you'd think it would atleast work right with their own crap.

i have a 500.1, im running 2 roadthunders wired at 2ohms off of it, crossover set at approx 75 and no problems,,,, used to have trouble with it thermaling in trunk moved it under passenger seat and no problems anymore.
its a mono amp rated for 2ohms
not sure but maybe a problem in the 'fets for the lows? not sure if thats possible but best explanation i can come up with, and if youve thermaled it too much you may have damaged it.....

i never thermaled it. but mine is a 2 channel rated at 500w max 115w/RMS by two and 300w.RMS by 1. i run it non bridged. the subs are i think 400w max but 500w with liquid cooling.
