Hey im in the market for some good 6x9's for my sunfire with some good highs and good bass, i have a alpine headunit, 2 polk momo's and a jl 500/1 amp. If you guys know a site with discounted prices on the good speakers please refer me to there also, thanks
I grabbed some 3way Lighting Audio 6x9's pretty good highs bass is OK although I dont have a good head unit for bass like that. But overall for the price I wouldnt go with anything else
if you look in my profile, i have 2 subs, even though componet speakers dont give out as much bass as a sub they still are apart of a good sounding system
Ive heard some boxed 6' speakers that could be mistaken for a small 10' sub, of course they had a nice amp/deck to go with them
6x9's with a lot of bass!!

that was sick. how many 6x9s was that??? when i took classes at mobile dynamics they had two 6 1/2" speakers in a transmission line box that sounded as loud as my 1 12" jl w1. and i'll never forget the cerwin vega strocker popped off of a wall outlet. the out let was demod to us by derrick lee of car audio and electronics magazine. he was one of the instructors. sweat stuff.

i noticed that you dont have anything in front? why not skip the 6x9's and get a good componet set up front so you can enjoy the music instead of the back seat listeners.

gotta show love for my pioneers.... I've been asked what kind of subs I have.... I have none..... All I have pushing them is my Alpine deck and a 4 channel 200 watrt Boss Audio amp.
I gotta agree with you Jason. I have Pioneer quad 6x9's on the back deck and Pioneer 4x6's in the front door. Have a 4 channel 180 watt Pioneer amp pushing it all. The 6x9's do have good bass. Had a professional installer rav on how good the system sounds without taking up trunk space with a sub. I still use the original Delco head unit that came with my 98 Z24. Had to use some filters on the audio lines to get rid of some low volumn engine noise and all sounds sweet. The installer didn't think it would all work, but when I finished the setup, he was impressed and was going to start to recommend the setup to other Cavalier owners that didn't have tons of money to spend, but still wanted a better sounding system.
98 Z24

RIP Specks
i like pioneer five ways but get an amp it really makes them sound so much cleaner seriously
I've got eclipse 6by9 point sources, and im in love. they want more power, but still sound awesome runnin off the head unit.
regardless of the speaker you choose, AMP IT. it makes a huge difference. me, im a fan of infinity's products. i love the way they sound. but the only way you are gonna know what you like is by listening to them!
i have to agree with sndsgood tho, put in a component set up front and amp it, it will sound better to you, the driver, than if you upped the rears.
