well i just about have my clutch job wrapped up, i wanted to ask if anyone has a handy tip for filling up the isuzu tranny, im thinking a long flexable funnel. any way, flame away at me
They make really long funnels or I had a decently long flexible ones but the master cyinder was in the way. I removed the two nuts that hold the master cylinder to the brake booster. Then Pull the master cylinder off the two bolts and moved it to the side enough to get my funnel down there.
what if you used a rubber hose that fit just in the hole, and then used a funnel at the end of that? lol
thanks for the replys,
it was interesting when i pulled the tranny out the dipstick was so crusted over it looked like it had never been used.
since the gear oil bottles have the tiny spout i think i will just use a long piece of tube that will fit in the hole.
not a dumb question
not even close......
dumb was the guy how to i upgraded my spare to a 17inch spare?
um buy a new wheel?
lol
i uses a 4' length of new 3/8 fuel line.fed it down the back of the engine, cut the nipple on the synchromesh bottle, and poured the two quarts. checked the level, and drove away.

i just ended up using a 3 foot piece of clear tubing, cost me 2 bucks, i made a little mess since one of my front axles wasnt quite seatind in right.
My dad and I pulled the rubber part off of an old turkey baister.... and hung it from the hood by a pieve of wire (acted as a funnel).. than we found a longs ass hose that was just small enough to fit inside to tranny but big enough to fit snugly over the end of the turkey baister... it actually worked pretty well... and it's still haning up in the shop since we can't use if for cooking anymore anyway...
