is that the major parts? would you say need a bcm? also is the ecu and the pcm one in the same? I also have a 2002 2200
-ecotec engine w/ main wiring harness, fuel injection harness, a/c, alt, starter
-transmission (mounts and stuff from old trans will work.. all you need is the trans itself dont worry about mounts)
-ecotec radiator
-ecotec upper motor mount
-ecotec intake
-ecotec ecu
misc bolts from the 2200 (motor mount bolts, engine to trans bolts) will work so if you're missing anything just take it from the old engine.. thats what I did.
you dont' need a bcm, in fact thats the one thing you want to keep. it records mileage.
the ecotec will plug into the existing electronics on the car aaron, its borderline rediculous how easily everything hooks up. Its time consuming extending lines and the like but looking back on a scale of 1-10 (1 being easy and 10 being teh uber hard) this motor swap was probably a 4
..and I've never swapped a motor before in my life until I did this one.

Yes you can use your stocki BCM but why?? I would rather have the miles of the new motor than the old one.

its called odometer fraud, and you can goto jail real quick for it, or the value of your car will be $0.00, or both.
besides, why waste the money on a part you don't need? There's no reason to swap the BCM at all
all goes well ill have the money for rhw swap in a couple weeks

Shaune: i have an AEM CAI for a 2200 if you want it.
Considering it is like new with the box and evrything was 270 originally I'll take $130 for it.
im flat broke, but i just wanted to say 130 for brand new AEM is FRICKIN CHEAP AS HELL, JUMP ON THAT.
PJ, your so the man. id love to do that swap, if i ever run into a rear-ended eco, im def buying that sh*t. and if i do, your comin to help!! (of course id give ya a place to crash and as much beer as you could drink!

well im here in kentucky. and i dont have any eco parts, but plenty of scrap yards around here have plenty of eco parts. so no paypal at all? not just this once.... cause i feel better doing it that way. and if you need to know about me just ask jason at alus performance ive bought from him.
