The teins still ride fantastic slammed, although it is HIGHLY recommended you don't do this. You can easily tuck stock wheels and tires if our fenders would allow it.
BTW if slammed, great ride, and a warranty interests you look towards Gravana's setup. I'm glad I have both setups because I wouldn't be able to choose otherwise.

You can't have a good ride with no travel. It's impossible. That's just the way it is and with our cars.
AGREED cause riding on bump stops is no where near fantastic, good, etc...
i had the prostreets, they sucked.. sold em to rodius prime
i dk.. tein superstreets in an '03 civic rode worst than my cavalier dumped on gc/koni yellows.. figure that out. yea im pretty set on just keepin wat i have. no one really can understnad sum of us like to ride slammed and will take a loss in ride quality.. we just get shlt on for it by the suspension pro's of jbo.. well thanks guys, instead of liking the style an trying to answer the questions to the best of ur knowledge to help another jbo member, you just preach at me about technical shlt and stuff that i already KNOW and dont really care about.. an sorry, i wouldnt want u to damage ur precious 1300 setup.. woopty doo, its still a cav man..

first and foremost, rhode island is never in the top 5 for that matter of worst roadways...
http://www.etrucker.com/apps/news/article.asp?id=45565
PA is first, and most of the major cities of the metropolis on the east coast have the worst roads... its on ever year on dateline and cnn in the polls.
secondly, not many will spend 1300$ on anything just to screw em up to satisfy a dumbass request. even you yourself said it was dumb.... reread page 1 if you dont remember back that far.
but i tell ya what, you wanna know what it would be like and how it would ride? i wanna know what a testicle would do if you smacked it with a hammer...hard.
so videotape yourself smacking yourself in the nut and report back whether it smashes or explodes and i;ll do as you asked.
its a fair trade and both sides will void warranty and cause damage. i can get new teins, you can get a prosthetic nut.

no one will know the difference.
most people arent gonna spend near 1500$ on something just to intentionally damage it.
you;d have to be either rich or a fool to do so.
another thing about your post....
page 1
Quote:
u know how many honda, nissan, mitsu owners spend more $ and ride on their tein's slammed, not to mention they all ride like a dream......
then on page 2 you write
Quote:
tein superstreets in an '03 civic rode worst than my cavalier dumped on gc/koni yellows.. figure that out. yea im pretty set on just keepin wat i have.
the amount of owners on all sites who dick around saying.... it rides like a dream.... is definately a direct correlation to the amount of BS you read on forums.... granted some cars do ride decent extremely low, its far and few in between. and like you said, many deal with the lack of ride quality and BS of wearing parts quicker simply for THE LOOK.
also you posted....
Quote:
you just preach at me about technical shlt and stuff that i already KNOW and dont really care about.
1) if you knew, then you wouldnt be comparing different suspensions to each other like they are all the same
2) and you dont really care about ride quality
Quote:
no one really can understnad sum of us like to ride slammed and will take a loss in ride quality..
then why in the hell would you ask on page 1
Quote:
and maybe take a ride around the block and tell me how nice they ride
if you dont mind taking a loss in ride quality, there should be no reason to ask about it... it wouldnt matter right?
no one is doggin you cause you like to ride around slammed, DO IT ALL YOU WANT.. ITS YOUR PREFERENCE......but dont expect others to waste their hard earned money damaging their stuff, just to satisfy your needs. no one on this forum is rich and no one is really just gonna throw away money, especially if it doesnt benefit that person in the least bit.
you sit here and talk about its just a cav, its just 1300$... if that was the case then you should already have bought em and slammed em and found out for yourself right? worst comes to worst, you can sell em to another person when they are damaged, kinda like rodimus prime did?
and the prostreets sucked mainly because you rode on em slammed with no suspension travel, and they are already a shortened strut.....same as the teins.... shortened strut..... so even though they say 2.5 inches.... doesnt meant its 2.5 inches... but since you didnt care about about ride quality....
but if you can take a loss in ride quality....it shouldnt have mattered....so why did you sell em?
people dont mind helping, but when you ask something EVEN YOU SAID WAS DUMB, dont get your arse on your shoulders trying to reply all snide cause someone told you NO.
its the same as asking someone with a turbo to take a lap around the track bouncing off the rev limiter cause you wanna hear the blow off valve constantly goin off....
in both cases, unless the person has the money to just throw away, will say no.
simple as that.
and like said, rhode island is incorrect. its so small theres no way the roads could compete with DC nor baltimore
also on this statement
Quote:
u know how many honda, nissan, mitsu owners spend more $ and ride on their tein's slammed, not to mention they all ride like a dream......
if they are spending more money, they are paying for an upgraded system which is stiffer, valved more towards competition and able to be lowered without losing travel.
such as the tein flex, super drift, super racing etc...
heres a price list of some....
http://www.sportcompactonly.com/product.aspx?p=2053&c=170&l=2
most of the import cars, civics, etc... can be found for 900-1100$....
cavalier parts will always cost more, mainly cause not too many people are serious about parts, nor will they buy anything of quality. so the supply is low, as well as demand.
coilovers that cost more from tein are also more upgraded... you get what you pay for.
so no wonder some may ride like a dream.... they cost more cause they are higher quality and more for racing....
else they were fools and overpaid

dont know about that bud....

BALTIMORE HOWEVER.....

Study: Baltimore roads among nation's worst
Roads in the Baltimore region rank seventh-worst among major American cities, according to a new report.
The Road Information Program, a Washington, D.C. nonprofit organization, researches technical data on highway transportation issues. In the May study, the Road Information Program used state and federal data to analyze the smoothness of rides as "good," "acceptable" or "unacceptable."
Forty-nine percent of Baltimore's roads were unacceptable, according to the report.
Los Angeles and San Jose are tied for worst on the national list, with 67 percent of their major roads delivering unacceptable rides. Close behind are San Diego and San Francisco-Oakland, with 61 percent unacceptable. Sacramento is sixth on the list with 50 percent unacceptable.
New Orleans, Detroit, Kansas City, Mo., and Oklahoma City round out the top 10.
The national average is 25 percent of major urban roads are "unacceptable," 43 percent have "acceptable" ride quality, and 32 percent are "good." The study included interstate highways, freeways and other main arterial routes.
thats 2003, which was 2 years ago....not much has changed.... not a SINGLE city mentioned has any town of rhode island mentioned....
so are you just posting bogus info?
you do have however one of the worst bottle necks....

actually from working a full time job teaching, and part time as a marketing and advertising rep, not to mention traveling for training in pro wrestling...
i am RARELY on the computer anymore.
it seems you atleast need to know what the hell you are talking about before you tell someone they need to get a life....
your information in your last post is like your information in previous posts...
PISS POOR, full of BS and incorrect info, and generally overall, not knowing what the hell you are talking about...... mostly hearsay that you probably heard incorrectly to begin with..... while im posting actual factual info which is easy to find.
and FYI, baltimore/MARYLAND is also considered the NORTHEAST... hell its even grouped that way in the regionals on here.
Yah..? you should see Vancouver (B.C) case I've been to seattle( number 9 on your worst list) And seattle is grate compaired to Downtown Vacnouver. it sucks you can't go faster than 20mhp through the city,
Also, a simple " no sorry man, If I slam my car on tein's, they might break" would of been better than going on a four page rant about how you know sooo much about suspension, and how every one else does not..
I'm sure if Marc really wanted a set he could get a set, I'm sure he was just asking ( just like I would )
So please stop walking around here acting like the cock of the walk becase you spent over $1200 on Coil overs
I would think about tein's, but i see that as a waste of money .. I plan on getting D-specs to go with my sportlines. If I ever need a better ride then that..I will drive my twist beam equiped car to the dealer and buy something with IRS form the factory,
Then laugh cause it will handle better stock, than a cavy with $5K worth of suspension mods.
oh once again im so sorry.... i was referring to the northeast as new england.. but hey im a retard so that's understandable
and thanks jwright... thats also the answer i was expecting.. but watever, wouldnt expect any more from a school teacher

boy oh boy
i slam my ride.
i dont care what others think.
i learn how to drive it slammed and keep it safe.
i dont endanger others with stupid driving and a slammed suspension.
i know its capabilities.
il fix whatever breaks.
its all apart of the game.
you win some and ya lose some.
go low or go home.
i dont care my suspensions geometry.
i dig it low and tucking.
adapt urself.

vancouver is canada... not the US, and most places here you;d be lucky to hit 15... even MTA busses barely get to 15.
Also, a simple " no sorry man, If I slam my car on tein's, they might break" would of been better than going on a four page rant about how you know sooo much about suspension, and how every one else does not..
that was in my first reply... shows you either cant pay attention to detail. 4 PAGE RANT?????... way to over exaggerate on a 2 PAGE POST....

waste of money? for who? those who wanna slam it maybe...yea...
but for those who want a quality ride, or compete in autox... how would it be a waste of money compared to the other setups out there?
more BS from the peanut gallery i see....
wow, you will spend another 20K$ for an IRS car, more insurance, just to get better handling than a j-body...
VERY economical
