I'm going to chime in again.

For you guys who don't want wilwood hats/rotors or would rather go with a one piece rotor, I have looked through HUNDREDS of rotor dimensions. It is VERY hard to find a rotor over 11" that is 0.81 or less (approx. a 20 mm rotor MAX). Even if you did find one, then the bracket that the original poster wants to make would most likely NOT fit your custom rotor. And you don't want to use a 1" width rotor and caliper because then your rears would look funny with 0.81" fronts. There is NOBODY to my knowledge that makes a rotor with the same offset dimensions as the wilwood rotor/hat (remember i've looked through many many many rotors). Also, the whole point for this setup is to make a rear kit that MATCHES the front kit, so that defaults that you SHOULD want to use the wilwood calipers, rotors, and hats. If not, then there will be NO POINT to making a "kit" for the sole purpose of driving down prices in this case. You're better off doing single piece rotors, a custom bracket, and some camaro calipers for MUCH cheaper if you just want a regular rear disc kit.

Wilwood offers in SRP (xdrilled/slot/zinc) 11.75, 12.00, and 12.19" rotors, and in HP (plain face) 11.75 and 12.19". This kit could easily be made to be adaptable for all five of these rotors. All you would need to include isa 0.095" spacer and a 0.22" spacer for the larger diameter rotors. Wilwood does this for their Mini Cooper kits, so you can choose either a 11.75" rotor or a 12.19" rotor. The bracket(s) would not need to change for larger size rotors, if using the rotors I mentioned in 0.81" thickness and the wilwood cavalier hats. There are NO other hats that fit because wilwood SPECIFICALLY made this hat (sizes, holes, and dimensions) for the cavalier front brakes.

When i talked to wilwood I got some list prices for a few different parts this is what i got.

Caliper $259 Rotor disk $39 Rotor hat $134

Now thats list prices. Summit wouldn't work with me with a group price so there out. I found another supplier out of california that can do them for close to $200. They also do custom CNC work at there facility. Im sure if I have them make the brackets and do all the wilwood parts through them. I can talk him down even cheaper on all the parts than what he quoted me already.

Like viper said above any of these kits will work with the larger rotors with the addition of spacers. Im including plane jane straight vein rotors with the kit. Nothing fancy to keep the pricing as low as possible. Any of the nicer rotor rings with 8 x 7 bolt pattern will bolt to the hats included in the kit.

I assume the rotor disc's you're talking about are the UL series, and not the ULHP series. I asked someone from wilwood once why the HP series is about twice the price of the regulars, and they said that they're used in heavy-use one-time applications, like track days, and then throw them away. So that's why they're cheap (lower quality since they're gonna have limited use), so I suggest ppl to get the ULHP's if you want flat face for daily driver and don't wanna replace rotors often.

Atomic, what I suggest you do is not include rotors and save yourself the hassle/price and weight in shipping. Shipping an extra 18 lbs probably won't be worth the savings.

Any updates, or is this not panning out like planned?

If not, I'm still interested in the standard brackets you made for yourself, for $250.

Sorry should have kept everyone up to date. These are still on for sure. Im waiting on the machine shop to get back with me on the final cost of the brackets. I dunno if anyone has dealt with machine shops be for but its like pulling teeth to get them to do anything small.

Final cost to everyone on these kits is looking like a couple bucks over $1000. Ill have final cost and part # for everyone within the week.

I would like to know if I might be able to get the bracket alone also, or you are going to make extra for this to be sold later down the road. I think you should get with Karo or Jason in on this to be able to sell later on. just my .02 Doing this once is not something we should do. People on this site takes months off without reading stuff. We need a way of getting more made. I'm thinking Karo might like to have the rights to these cause he would be the one able to sell more kits. I'm sure they would package up things for him. Try it really.

I have an idea I'm running by Gary to see if he can help me make this work! I think I got a brake in this for real, but it almost seems to simple to be true. So let Gary chime in about this and I will go from there. It should be able to have e-brake setup too, but I'm not sure.
