so im good now, but unfortunately, i appear to be losing air instantly in the rears. fronts seem pretty good holding, but as soon as i fill the rears, the drop right back to )psi

dammit

i know what you mean, mine wasnt that bad but im working on getting the leaks out. sucks. evertime i think i got it seems like they just keep leaking and leaking and leaking lol.

i had the same issue as you when i first started filling the tank, u hit the switch and you' just here nothing. but mine was caused by hardly no air in the tank so it would basically just send a shot of air to the strut then nothing. im lucky enough to have an air compressor though to help out on the fill. its also making finding leaks allot easier.

if everything is tight then it could be a bad valve

Re: another air ride question

also, how long does it take to fill on the first fill? it seems mine runs forever, and i check the psi of the tank, and it reads 150psi, but keeps going, and thats as high as i can test currently.

should it keep going over 150? i didnt let it keep running after that, cuz i didnt wanna blow something up

OMG I still had the numbers wrong LOL. That is about as low as I can drop it hhaha.
I ride at 40 in the front and 60 in the back. There, that's over with. I have corrected myself for the last time here.

ya, i did. well, for the most part.

i had the compressor runing for what felt like at least 15 minutes, and it never shut off. i get a lil worried when it does that, so i turn it off. should i just let it go, and hope it shuts itself off before blowing something??

ps - anyone have an airline to the gauges blow off the back of the gauge?? i did, lol

The first time you run fill the compressor seems to always take a long time. I have the easy street along with the autopilot. Both times I installed my stuff last year and this year (winter sucks) it seemed to take forever to fill the tank up. It always shut off after a time though. If the pressure switch was bad it probably would not work (well at least when I had a bad switch it never turned on)

Maybe you have a preety big leak thats why it keeps running.

I used a compressure to fill mine also few times while lookign for leaks, Use LOTS of teflon tape.

when i fill the bags, according to the gauges, they seem to be holding air tightly, but i still think theres something a lil off

fill bags to like 140 each leave on pieces of wood under the ties at night so its on the ground. Check next day see if guages have changed.

Do you not a pressure gauge for the tank?'

As stated above the pressure switch is 145 on/175 off.

It shouldnt take any longer then 3mins and 54secs to fill from 145 to 175 assuming you have a Viair 380 compressor and 5 gal tank. That is about the best I can do right now. I had a site that had all the rating for a lot of compressors, but I cant find it.

Max Working Pressure: 200 PSI

0-200 PSI : 14 Min 45 Sec
165-200 PSI : 3 Min 30 Sec

This was the best I could find. What I would do is, take the average which is 11 min 42 sec and go with that beings that 175 is about in the middle of 145 and 200.

you should drain it once a month

Re: another air ride question

its not the valve leaking, its at the connections, i'm using the ole soapy water and can see where its at. im thinking maybe i was a bit stingy on the teflon tape. i maybe wrapped the fitting with two wraps.

Teflon tape doesn't create the seal, it helps but the threads on the fitting should seal it. You either have a bad fitting or need to tighten it.
