looking at swapping a 88 sunbird turbo engine into my 84 chevette. does a s-10 manual tranny from a 2.2l bolt up to this engine? can i run the engine without the factory computer by using megasquirt and a msd 6 btm ignition control unit? the msd box retards timing as boost pressure goes up.
The trans won't bolt up to the OHC 2.0. I don't see why you couldn't use that plan for management.

Nope, not the same blocks at all.
I think your best bet is to use the factory wiring and PCM to run it and mod it as needed. I have a whole sunbird turbo harness i dont need, cant remember if i had the pcm or not.
