Well its official we are the worldseries champs of 08. its been so long since philly has had something to be proud of in our sports teams with all the heartbreak and let downs in the past the phils bring home the win tonight at 959pm. lets hear it philly.

I think I might be more happy that I don't have to listen to Joe buck more than I am that the Phils actually won the WS, him and that other guy are complete jackasses.

Thats why I don't watch any of those sports, but I do watch racing. NASCAR, touring cars, drag racing, monster trucks. All that fun stuff.
(I occasionally watch hockey, but thats all.)

embarrasing. obviously you watched the game. obviously you seen them show the repeats of all the last titles. obviously you would know the sixers won in 83. thats only 25 years not 28.

the major sports that have teams fighting over a ball are the ones that actually have action and not an 80 percent stand around and do nothing rate. baseball is boring to play and watch

paid 500 just for the resumption.. I had tickets ordered on ticketsnow.com for game 5 when I woke up the next morning after game 4 i got an email saying the tickets were no longer available. Was not happy tried finding new tickets didnt happen in the reasonable, so when the second chance to go came around I had to jump on it. 500$ well spent IMO.
SO wheres everyone posting up shop for the parade. I was able to get tickets for the Bank to watch the ceremony but i think were gonna find a spot on broad then walk down and into the park. Whats everyone else doing?

nice. 500 bucks would be worth it imo. not everyone gets a chance to go to a championship series let alone see your hometown win the title while your there.
they played awesome, i am not a huge fan of baseball but i watch it here and there

not all Sox fans are miserable or sore at all. We have always had a good team. A lot of us are die hard fans who have been watching their whole lives and are there through thick and thin. You don't win every year, that is life. Congrats to the Phillies on their big win. And I am willing to bet the number of TB fans that showed up for ANY of the games were in the single digits lol. THAT is a group of fans to laugh at. I have never seen a more lackluster fanbase ever. And then all the fair weather fans popped up this season going "OMG I am from FL and TB rocks all!"
