Don't even apologize bro because honestly, no one here (including me) has any room to talk about other people doing dumb s**t or acting like jerks. As a group and throughout the years we have all done a ton of dumb stuff...Me and Bryan held up miles of traffic on our way to the Bash on I-80, PJ used to peel his tires out every chance he could get, DJ used to chase down every slightly modified import that he saw, on our way back from the 05 bash we boxed in a CRX, and have we forgotten the famous 4 way highway race on the Parkway with me, Adam, PJ (and someone else, can't remember). But you know what, we did it, we laughed about it cause it was stupid. For any of us to complain that someone was doing something stupid during an meet event is hypocritical.

Now I didn't get to the parking lot right when everyone did...maybe I missed something BUT the time I did see them actually driving was when they were leaving and they were following Dave and they messing around a little bit as Dave was doing it. Now if this is the moment that pissed you guys off, I don't understand how all your anger and blaming can go upon the Knights and not on Dave when they were mimicking him.

But even before that, some of you guys did something really messed up (and I'm not going to say who did this) but you guys told them the wrong restaurant to go to for dinner when you purposely knew you were going to another restaurant. I thought that was seriously messed up. You guys have met the knights for an hour and already you guys hate them and you had no fully logical reasons to dislike them. They aren't @!#$s or jerkoffs or whatever name you want to call them. If some of you took them time to talk to them, you would know their personalities better. Honestly, they were very quiet and very nice when I was conversing with them and I will say I really didn't see any (few of you guys did) talk to them to even attempt to get to know them.

The Knights sooo remind me of the Jersey Js way back when. We were just starting to modify, we didn't have the best looking cars but we were happy with our progress and were just happy to have found others that could relate to us as far as J-bodies go. Some of you guys aren't like that anymore. I personally haven't changed but some of you guys have. Regardless of my previous encounter with some of you guys, I ignored some of the messed up stuff you guys did, including this situation.

I'm not saying everyone in the group did wrong but the ones who did know who they are. I'm not trying to stir up anymore hate or beef or whatever, I just had to put my 2 cents in about this situation.

That's all I have to say...

damn just when we thought we got rid of your ass....

Anyway... yes, in the past, the JJ's did some dumb @!#$ at meets and some continue to do so on occasion... HOWEVER, there is a little thing called GROWING UP and learning that doing crap like that doesn't do ANYONE in the automotive seen any good and only gets cops in a ticket writing frenzy. We had JUST been chased out of one of our favorite meet locations by the cops because of what idiots had been doing there the week before. A cop had JUST been in the park-n-ride lot 20 minutes after we got there.... Two VERY GOOD REASONS why the J-body knights should have had more sense. Oh, and how about the fact that they were GUESTS of the Jersey J's and should have acted accordingly? Sorry if they felt alienated, but they were new people and there were a lot of people there... I talked to a bunch of people and i still don't know who half of them were. I don't know the if they wanted an engraved greeting or something, but if they didn't talk to anyone it was their own fault. As for respect, well... respect is earned... and spray-painted cars drag racing through the meet location is not how to earn that respect.

The whole topic was brought up solely to ensure that no such shenanigans occurred at THIS meet, since the manager of Chik-Fil-A offered us permission to meet there, and no one wants to screw that up. Granted, Adam didn't mince words when referring to you guys, but seriously, if you're getting pissed over it, well, too bad. Honesty hurts sometimes. Snobbery? No, common sense and a higher level of maturity. We had a discussion a long time ago about meets and racing and such, and pretty much everyone agreed that we should try to back away from that kind of activity as much as possible... since then it has gotten A LOT better than it was. Everyone has weaknesses, so no, not every is perfectly behaved all the time but certain things should be considered obvious when you're a guest and the post in which you found out about the meet clearly said SEVERAL times to please behave yourselves as we did not want to get kicked out.

Sorry but you can't rid of something you don't have control over...

Anyways...

I will say that you guys have every right to look out for your new meet location, that's fine BUT they were never part of our group before hand and they never knew any of your pow wows that we should keep it down and not do certain activities. Sure, maturity might play a factor but we were all adults when we did foolish things as well (well most of us). 19, 20, 21...it's not like we did stuff 5 or 6 years ago and we were minors who just got our drivers licenses, we are well into our adulthood and should have known better...but you know what, we did it anyways.

I'm not trying to excuse anything stupid they might have done but I'm just saying that we shouldn't be so quick to judge people.

Regardless of them doing something stupid or not, that doesn't make them bad people and you guys (whoever you were) were messed up for ditching them like that.

this has nothing to do with little powwows about group behavoir, its been posted NUMEROUS times IN THIS FORUM that we are all to behave whereever we meet. And Jay is right, not being part of the group is certainly not an excuse, if nothing else, guests should be more well-mannered.

Seriously, you say F*** off to the Jersey J's and then you want to come back here and stir up more @!#$ condemning people for their actions. You made this club none of your business any more, so act that way and butt out. Outside of Festa, it doesn't really seem like anyone was all that sad to see you go.

As to the group and behavior.. people change, things change. Just because it was ok with us two years ago doesn't mean we have to forgive it when it happens now. The things that were done at that meet were not cool by anyone's standards and it was made perfectly clear in EVERY post to behave oneself. Its that simple. If you invited someone to your house, and they trashed the place and made a lot of ruckus, you wouldn't be very quick to invite them back, would you?

As for ditching people, I'll be honest, I didn't want to be within a mile of some of those guys on the open road with cops out all over the place. The rest of the people who "ditched" them felt the same way, or they wouldn't have done so. Fact is, a few of us had plans to go out and eat after the meet before we even showed up, so when everyone started going to one place, we just didn't want to be with a huge group, especially with all the reckless sh*t going on. If you want to sit and cry about it some more, go right ahead but it won't change anything.

Oh darn, you didn't miss me big boy? My feelings are hurt...

As far as other people don't miss me, the people who do miss me have told me privately, the ones who don't miss me, I don't miss them..so boohoo.

If you read my initial post, I wasn't trying to stir up anything, I was stating a point and I wasn't out to attack anyone. I was sticking up for Raul and the knights because you guys judged them unfairly (in my opinion).

By the way, the f*** the jersey js was meant for the select jersey js like yourself and certain others who deserved to hear it. That's another topic.

I'll drop it, you drop it and we'll agree that we don't agree. Peace.

Exactly.
It was made perfectly clear that we don't allow stupid @!#$ to be done at the meets. Right? We must have said it AT-LEAST a dozen times. So why the @!#$ you would ever start doing stupid @!#$. Whether you were doing ONE drag race, or you were running a @!#$ Le Mans race in the parking lot it doesn't matter. We had just gotten kicked out of a location no more than an hour ago IN THE SAME @!#$ TOWN! Don't you think that the police are more then willing to hand out pretty little yellow tickets? Granted we all do stupid @!#$, but when it's the stupid @!#$ that endangers others we start to get pissed. I know I can't afford to get another ticket. I've had MORE than my share of them. And for a fact my father would have my ass if I had gotten a ticket at a meet. So when something is threathening my ass, I couldn't give a @!#$ how straight forward I am about anything.

With that said. I'll see some of you tonight, and everyone Saturday.

Ps. Sam, I'm gonna PM you my screen name. Hit me up sometime dude

well since these lovely arguments seem to stem up every month days before a meet, I think that maybe its time to dismantle the jersey j's and reform the group and make it a little bit more exclusive.

For the past 3 years, having open invitation to anyone and any car (save a choice invited few) has been out lived.

I still agree whole heartedly on the lack of heirarchy structure that is the jersey j's... read: King arthur and the knights of the round table. We have some senior members who help organize meets and come up with ideas, but no real bonafide 'leader' or 'political structuring' or monatary responsibilities, and I believe the Jersey J's can survive with the same infrastructure.

However, the publicity needs to be halted. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not, but the last freehold meet, (when we first met the jbody knights) there must have been 50 cars in the locale, and it was a far cry from just Jbodies and Deltas.

I don't know if that was all because of us, or if we just picked the same meeting spot as another club or group or whatever, but the Jersey J's are getting too large for their own "whatever" attitude, and we need to change how things work slightly. It worked before when we average 8-10 cars.. but it no longer functions when we number in the 10-15s and sometimes higher than that.

There's always been an unspoken rule not to @!#$ around with the vehicles at a meet location. At least I thought anyway... when we're all heading out thats one thing, and in defense of the Knights (even tho I don't agree with what happened), we were on our way out at the time.. but if it was me personally, since we already had one run in with johnny law that night, I think better judgement could have been implemented by them.

When you have a large group present, everyone wants to impress everyone else, but don't forget that the consequences that may or may not come upon you, might befall everyone else as well. If we DID get in trouble because of their actions, there would have been hell to pay.

As far as anyone being snotty from the Js, Everyone is shy at first. They introduced themselves to me, but there's a lot of J's.. I don't know if everyone met first hand, but it has to go both ways. They were in our area, and as much as home towners want to welcome, foreigners have to extend greetings as well. They seemed conversative and polite to me, but the end of the night antics left a bad taste in my mouth.

In conclusion, the point of my post is this:

1) RULES

A set of rules need to be established that govern activity and behavior at a meet location. Spontonaity is still a factor, as it always is with having fun, but some guidelines/ rules need to be mandated to make sure there's no more confusion as to how to act, and what is frowned upon... especially since the group grows in car attendence monthly, thus bringing more attention (both positive and negative) to everyone.

2)DESTROY, REBUILD

The Jersey J's need to restructure and become more exclusive. Cars that are not invited or otherwise previously granted permission to attend meets are not welcome, and should be asked to leave. Such uninvited guests may not have the same values as the rest of us, or follow the same rules. The actions of the few often are reflected in the consequences of the whole.

3) BETTER COMMUNICATION

To add to the exclusivity (is that a word?), we need to establish a home base on the internet in the form of a forum. Only Jersey J members will have access, thus keeping outsiders out and insiders in.

Violation of meet rules and or obligations and what have you, should result in suspension from access to the forum and subsequently, a suspension from being allowed to attend meets either temporarily, semi permanently, or permanently.

4) ENFORCEMENT OF RULES

Due to the structuring of the Jersey J's, the whole would be responsible for determining if rules were violated, and what the punishment, if any, should be. Weather its meet suspension or just verbal reprimanding. This however, may not work and may need another way to make sure the rules are effective, and get followed (even tho I know pretty much all of us won't have any problems staying within the rules anyway)

These ideas are just what I can come up with now for helping to keep the club from getting so completely asinine, that it would blend in perfectly with the rest of the org and all of its bull@!#$.

What do you guys think?

Although DAVE is polite with you guys im not as sweet. Theres no need for name calling and saying we were acting immature. If i recall correctly, as soon as we got there we introduced ourselves and most of you j's acted snotty like we werent worth your space.

To finish that off: We had a discussion about that at our last meeting. Dont worry about us coming out there. We dont hang with snobs. About you calling us ricers.....Everyone has got to start somewhere and your lack of luv for other jbody enthusiasts is disturbing.

To Adam and Brian festas:
You guys showed us luv from jump street and we appreciate it. so we dont have anything against you 2.
I say again : WE DIDNT REALIZE WE DID SOMETHING WRONG.NORMALLY I WOULD APOLOGIZE FOR DOING SOMETHING WRONG BUT SINCE YOU INSULTED US.......IN BEHALF OF THE KNIGHTS........FUK THAT!
RAUL..JBODY KNIGHTS OF NYC.

/end rant

damn just when we thought we got rid of your ass....

Anyway... yes, in the past, the JJ's did some dumb @!#$ at meets and some continue to do so on occasion...

Also , unless it was in person, where on earth does it say the jersey j's called you ricers? I couldn't find it in this thread ...
I dont understand that either assumption either,
if you had stock tails, or altezzas, or an aluminum wing, or a prostock wing , or decals , or stock paint.
THE DRAGGING IN A PUBLIC PARKING LOT STILL WOULD BE STUPID.

um plus your right dj... it was "said in person"!

and as for you guys " you know who you are"! who ditched us on purpose...thats your issue..,the Long islanders came with us and yes you know what they enjoyed the entire experience!addressing this issue of us getting you all in trouble is a totall bunch of BS and your using the knights as a scape goat. when you even said it in your own post " we had been asked to leave the week before"!

as for jay, your untouchable .. get off your todempole! youve alwasy been Snotti! @!#$ you bitch! you dont even have a J-body!

regardless " F- u, F-u, F-U, your cool, your cool,F-u, F-u, your cool, your cool."

YOU KNOW WHAT @!#$ THIS @!#$. I FOUNDED THE @!#$ JERSEY J'S TO FIND NEW FRIENDS WITH SIMILAR INTERESTS. THIS WAS MEANT TO BE A WAY TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER. NOT SHUN EVERYONE OUT.

PJ I'm going to agree with you here. We will start with rules, forums, and everything Monday. All will be established tomorrow at the meet.

Knights and Dave sorry that things didn't work out. You'll hear from me as well.

I hope to see everyone there. If things don't work out in your favor @!#$ YOU.

Things were different then Dave. Plus, you don't do too much stupid crap in your car in a parking lot, usually its when we're cruising which is different. Plus, I don't remember you doin anything remotely similar to what happened that night in a small space, or when police presence was there shortly before.

It was done for a reason, not just for the sake of doing it. If you go on a blind date and the girl is ugly or you have nothing in common, you bail out somehow right?

To clarify, Jay said we were asked to leave from the freehold mall because of what OTHER people did the week before.

Where we were after the cops kicked us out of the mall is called the park n ride.

At the park n ride you can park and hang there all night since thats what its for. But dragging in the parking lots and other bs is still on the illegal side of things.

I'll let jay defend himself on that one if he warrants that its even worth his time.

Dave, I still don't have beef with you at all. The knights acted pretty stupid, but whatever its over. If you're po'd thats fine, but if you guys act like that all the time, you won't be missed.

Dave ... haha , i wasnt trying to prove anything but the fact that it was in poor favor of them , but i wasnt stressing over it. But who said the ricer thing, and to who? I didn't hear anything ...

And who are these elect few that ditched people? I was following the crowd and i thought the Knights were heading home?

But on a different note ...

I HIGHLY doubt ill be able to attend the meet tommorow ...

Reason:

Sometype of electrical problem? Not really sure ...
I was driving like 25ish or so , and the car just shut off, and the triple gauge pod went out, which is run off the ignition and the cruise control fuse , just died and never came back on. I drove the car for another few miles after have a HARD TIME getting it to restart ... when a CEL appeared.
I drove it to my friends shop and got it scanned, coming up with a few 02 sensor codes , and like 20 or so BCM codes, along with a FEW BCM failure codes.
PS: I have one line under a 1/4 tank ...

Oh boy , not sure on what to do here , not sure if i should bring it to GM because of the mods that are done, they might just throw me right out. Or just try and see what i can do on my own.

Possible ideas:
Bad ground?
Failed Spark?

.
