I know I posted that if I had time after my sons b-day party that I would go. In Jackalope's defense, he shouldn't have to call anyone to see if they are going to show. He's right, when people say that they are gonna be there (deffinetly) then they should be there!
Im glad I didn't go now seeing how no one ever shows. I have been through the hour or so driving back in the day to these meets where no one has showed up or it was just a few people and didn't feel welcomed one bit!
Jackalope, I know how you feel and it sucks. Now I am not putting anyone down because I like and respect all of you and things do come up.
but the reality of the situation is, people are people. what if the main players had situations where they couldn't get there? though it's unlikely, what if they'd all gotten into accidents on the way? maybe i'm more forgiving and more patient than the both of you because i'm more used to it, but i don't think just 2 weekends are enough to give up...if it's truly worth it to hang out with the people you claim are friends.

Very valid, but if people actually came on here and gave valid reasons why then that will be different but when they come on here and say something came up.....well sometimes thats not enough for some.
Don't get me wrong, I have kids and live very far from the meets so Im prone to more reasons why for not showing, not saying my reasons are better than others but members with kids understand.
that i can understand...having young children will prevent you from showing up...hell, even when we were in that dumb little club that lasted for like 6 months, i saw you once. regardless, i don't see the point in coming on here and bitching about it if you have those people's phone numbers and can call them to bitch at them that way.
...please note, i've been guilty of the same in the past. i am in no way condemning anyone for doing this, just suggesting an alternative.

Whats funny is I get blamed for this @!#$..................why don't other people invite people. And Josh, I do believe I showed up at your house, I waited for a long while but you never answered your phone or anything even when I said I was coming so I left. Met up with Brian and thats it.
As far as Saturday night was concerned, Terry you messaged me and said you were leaving at 9. I couldn't do anything til my mom got home, I would have never made it in 15 minutes to Hard Times so I figured you left. If I had known you were still gonna be there I woulda come up. But I guess everything revolves around me with this crap so whatever its all my fault!

Kim, I dont think anyone is blaming you or any other member here. Things happen and things come up. Thats the way it is and yes it does suck but what can you do!
No I was blamed. Sorry.................when I wrote up on here about people showing it was a joke, I thought it would motivate people from coming out, but I was wrong.
both Terry and Kim need to think for a minute. it's a ton of miscommunication. miscommunication happens...both of you, deal with it. Kim, it seems like Terry's blaming you - which is kindof, well, rude, to toss that out there without trying to contact you. yes, Kim, i'm siding with you again.

Wow, I think hell froze over again lol!
I've been trying, I was actually planning on getting on a ton of forums, I've been working on flyers etc to get the word out. I know that if you tell 20 people, 15 say they'll show, you'll end up getting 5....7 if your lucky! Im not always going to be there, esp the next two weeks when Im gone.........but I'd like to get something going. It was nice havin a little somethin that I could do to chill with friends. But I feel as though Im the only one who is suppose to round up people. I mean Josh got people from the S10 forum, but they were unsocial so that sucked! But other people can get out there..........Im sure Laura and I aren't the only ones on other forums!
Kim I didn't blame you at all still don't. relax like I said I'm not pissed but i doubt I'll be out again. You weren't the only person who didn't show so you shouldn't feel as tho your being singled out. If you guys would like to do this again could you please at least
let someone know if your not gonna make it. I got 2 kids and understand s--t happens

OK, I won't be around for the next 2 Saturdays. I would like to get something going the following weekend. Now JUST A WARNING....Robby and I will be returning from DE so we may be a little late. I am going to post on a few different forums regarding these meets! Please, if you know anyone who'd like to come invite them. It's still kinda warm, it would be nice to get a few more meets together before the winter, then maybe find a place indoors!

I hear ya on this one but you are the one who sets these things up and who always plans on bringing other club members to these meets. Also you always say your gonna show because its something you set up.
Jackalope isn't pointing fingers and it seems like he is willing to give it another shot. I don't think its your fault Kim but the reason why everyone might come to ya is because you are the originator of these meets.
Actually Ferrari started these last year, Josh and I wanted to have a few get togethers locally again and figured we'd throw the idea up. In the original plan it was to be that first night at the mall, but people kept wanting to come! So I don't see how its my baby?
