So for the past few weeks in York the local ricer scene has been gathering at staples right next to Denny's where our club has been meeting for almost 2 years, which concerned me but really wasnt a problem. The stupid @!#$ are like locusts just moving from place to place whenever they get kicked out. You can't go on the circuit anymore because of these clowns, the cops practically molest you just for parking someplace now.
So last night a few of these dip@!#$s were doing burnouts and I guess getting ready to race and then about 10 cops showed up and it was like a scene from fast and the furious COPS COPS COPS!!!!! They went scattering everywhere, good thing we werent walking across the parking lot we probably would have got run over. So like 5-6 of us just had walked out of Denny's after paying our bills are watching all this. Cops pin 2 cars in the lot and start seaching and cuffing some of the morons they nailed. This dip@!#$ high horse cop comes in and tells us to get out, so im like we have permission to be here and we arent even with those idiots, the cop is like well I work here.
Fine whatever prob pissed off cause he has to do his job for a change, york cops are pathetic pieces of @!#$ anyway. I don't really have a problem with them busting these clowns but I'd bet you a million dollars that if I had grey hair and was standing next to a PT cruiser they would not have said jack @!#$ to us. You see the same @!#$ when its hot rod or bike week on 30 and the cops are NOWHERE. Either enforce it for everyone or for none at all. And you cant tell me those damn harley bikes arent more noise pollution than an army of imports.
What really pisses me off is now our peaceful little spot that we have had for 2 years we may now be loosing if this @!#$ keeps up all because some broke ass pansies cant afford to go to HIN or a real track. I'm not going to say for a second that I've never street raced, because theres ppl even on this forum which have witnessed me do it, times are alot different now, law enforcement is on to whats going on and they are going out of thier way to bust ppl so if your doing it your just asking for trouble. I don't know maybe im just too mature now to understand "the scene".

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
lmfao, sounds like a turf war you have going on
the way i see it,... if youve done nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about
.... so what are you all worried about?
why not YOU call the cops next time they come and be a**clowns?

swooosh!
If we called the cops everytime someone flew by at 80mph we would be running a call center

I am only 17 and don't understand the point of the burnouts in parking lots etc. etc. but then again i don't need cops chasing me home and every were else i go because they remember me from a parking lot with a bunch of idiots. Before anyone asks yes i do street race once and a while but here in ma their isn't a track, closest one is in New Hampshire so races get to full of people to fast and we know what happens when you See a bunch of 4 bangers in an industrial park. And someone is bound to try to boost their ego and someone will get hurt.

Aside from the cops yelling at us to leave when we had full permision to hang out there that night was bad ass. The CRX the cops trapped on the speed bump is still sitting at dennys right now. We need to get this @!#$ on tape now that was right out of fast and the furious.
If you have permission try to get it in writing or at very least try to get the name of who gave you the permission and then when Barney Fife comes over and tells you tp leave you can so no and produce your permission. They can't argue with that. Besides if its private property then the cops cannot tell you to leave unless someone from at least one of the businesses comes out with the cops and says they want you gone. If not the cops can't do s--t. Private property means cops can't tose you unless someone wants you tosed out. Well thats how it is in MD anyway you may want to check into this for your area before you try telling off the police.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
The thing about that cop was they he was working the night shift at dennys that night. So I guess he thought he was the god or something. He wasnt the normal dennys cop though, we should have got the manager to stand up for us.
you should have told him to stfu and he's a cop at that time not a denny's employee (now why the hell would a cop have to work at denny's??? lol) anyway....you guys are paying patrons of that establishment, you will leave when you want to...he cant force you off any property unless the owner wants you off, i dont care if he works there , unless he's in charge of the place, he cant do @!#$ , now if you guys would stand up for your rights an now just come on the org an bitch, maybe you wouldnt need to come on here an bitch in the first place!
Dennys has cops that come in late at night incase drunks come in and such.
i think i remember a cop there when we where leaving whe ni was there , still , is it his job to herass paying patrons also??? have nikki talk to the manager about it im sure it will end

look up the loud pipes save lives campaign....
motorcycles are to be louder cause as it stands even on a cell phone and not paying attention like many drivers these days... the horn on most bikes are not enough to gain attention from idiots who drive like mr magoo....
comparing a bike to an import, or more appropriately....ALL SPORT COMPACTS.... or any vehicles for that matter, is pointless.
as it stands the majority of laws and BS we go through with cars, motorcylce groups go through it with the laws as well...
http://www.bikernet.com/rights/archive.asp?Article=061502 just an example.
funny how two groups...cars and cyclists, sit there and try to pick apart "well the other dont get this or that"
when in reality both go through the same crap...
and that crap being: a few jackarses spoiling it for the majority.
I ride a bike every day. I cant even tell you how many times ive felt the air shift as i have to throw myself around someone who decides not to notice me. I purposly put a bit louder a pipe on for it. I would go louder if I didnt have to ride it so late at night.
as for the ricers, every town has them, just let them get caught, then another group will pop up. (ironicly, some with the others cars) so long as you never get caught. Next time the cop harasses you, find the manager. prove you were eating. You could have a lot of fun with a cop that sees you have permission and kicks you anyways.

there are 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary, and those who dont.
I always miss the good stuff...
I wouldn't worry about it, Matt. DrPaul is right: if Nikki sees it is necessary to address the issue with the manager that's about all we can do. As long as he/she sees that we are behaving ourselves (or at least not offending anybody in the restaurant... heh, heh) and buying food, I doubt that smokey the bear will have a leg to stand on...
It would have been great to have on tape, tho. Where's Art and his camcorder when you need him!? lol

alot of us didn't leave, Matt did, but Nikki, Scotty, me and I and a few others stayed and went back inside. technicly (sp?) i couldn't leave cause the alternator in the truck i was driving went bad and i had to wait for my rents to come get me lol

wow i wish i coulda seen that!!
i went down to the circuit to watch when i left dennys and the cops kicked us out after like 20 mins, they were bustin ppl all over the place, it was ridicolous
but if you want to race, the next autocross is on the 25th at park city
unfortuantely i will be racing in the stock class b/c i had a lil accident involving my intake today, it'll be fixed but not til after that

Hmmm ...is it me or is there some contradiction here.
Say it with me, "Its not what you know...It's what you can prove"
He was referring to a while back, not sure when he street raced could have been a few years ago and now he knows/realizes it isn't a smart thing to do. and isn't mature is what I think he was trying to stat. If not I'm sure he will come on here and correct me.
the kanye sig is where its at...
Your best bet is to be respectful to the police no matter what.If you have permission in writing then calmly show it too them. You have to remember they are just doing their jobs. They want to weed out the bad seeds just as much as you do.Be respectful and get permission in writing. Then when stuff like this happens you have a leg to stand on.

I ain't callin u a gold digga,but you ain't messin wit a broke cracka
Yeah I think I'll have to do that this Saturday.
In the two years or so we've been meeting there, we've only ever had one problem with getting kicked out of the parking lot... and it was the same cop as this past Saturday. We left... and the next weekend the manager told us she "yelled" at the cop for kicking out their regulars lol.
I'll talk to Lindsay this weekend about getting written permission in case we'd need it in the future.

true..... if he arrives on the scene he cant really decipher who was over there or not... its a giant clusterf____ of people running.
^^^ EXACTLY think of this way..........it's alot easier for the police to assume everyone's involved and make everyone leave then to walk around and ask each person why they are there.
They are just doing their jobs and you get along more stuff done when you are polite and respectful.

That is York for ya. It gets worse year after year.
Me and my buddies usually have a spot on Market Street if we have to park somewhere to chat it up, we just go there. Anywhere up on 30 now is filled with the racer kids keeping their egos in check.
I admit I stop up to a couple of them since I have a lot of friends with compacts that go up there and most of them are pretty cool, but the majority of them have some problems.
Have a good one,
Justin
