Built & Turbo OHV Cav For Sale & Part Out!
Monday, February 02, 2009 11:08 AM
So I've been doing some serious thinking and I am about 90% sure that I am going to leave the J scene. It is just not the best time in my life to have a project car. If I get enough interest on this car I believe my decision has been made.

I will part it completly out but if someone wants to finish my nearly done project than I would love to see that happen.

2002 LS Cavalier - I am the second owner, I have owned it since 2004. Clean vin, never been in an accident. It now has a 95-00 Sunfire front end conversion with evil eyes welded on an oem hood & an RK Sport Sunfighter front bumper.

Best offer on everything unless I put a price.

What can be parted out...

Exterior
*95-99 Z24 rear bumper & side skirts - Freshly painted Indigo Blue & never been installed - $100 OBO
*Shaved fiberglass trunk (4 small holes on it for where SS wing sat) - BO

Turbo Stuff
T3/T04B Turbocharger (48a/r - turbine & 70a/r - compressor) w/ stage3 wheel
Tial 38mm External Wastegate (if you want custom atmospheric dump tube you can have for free with it cause it may or may not work in certain setups)
Turbo Exhaust Header
Turbo XS Intercooler
Golden Eagle Vacuum Manifold
Stainless Steel Oil Feed line
Oil Filter Sandwich
2.5" Charge Pipes
Tullos Technology Electronic Boost Controller
2.5" Custom Exhaust & Down Pipe
Magnaflow High Flow Catalytic Converter
Vibrant 12" Resonator

Engine
I have two heads one is completly stock and I can put that back on the car, The other has - Howell Automotive Pushrods, Cromoly Locks & Retainers, Port & Polished Head, Stainless Steel Valves, 5 Angle Valve Job, JBP valvesprings
The block has - JBP Turbo Camshaft, V-8 Spring Swapped Lifters, M98 Oil pump
Wiseco forged pistons (stock compression & stock bore) & Eagle rods - brand new/never ran but assembled and ready to drop in - $600 OBO

Misc
I also have a couple glow-shift gauges - boost, oil temp, oil pressure, fuel pressure (still have the lil plastic/stick protectors on the gauge face)
Walbro 255 w/install kit sitting waiting to go in
Upper engine mount insert
Spare .30 cometic head gasket, new in box. - $75 OBO

The car just needs an alternator which I will install and it will run like a charm. Turbo'd or not. I can revert it back to stock, including the stock head if wanted. I dont want to pull the block so it will be runnig with a cam thats a bit more agressive than stock as well as the stronger lifters and a better oil pump. But other than that I can put it back to a stock car and that would give u an engine with 57k miles and a stock head with mid 40k mileage (the modified head has low 50k mileage). I can supply a stock camshift with a few other stock components I have laying around as well.

If you want to pick up where I left off. The car will easily run 15-20 psi (if you tune it right) with the pistons and rods if you install them.

This car is fast running at 9 psi on the stock pistons and rods estimated 250-300 hp/tq at the wheels.

I love this car so much but I just dont have the the time or place for a project right now.

I dont have any good ones here at work, but here are some recent ones - (Don't mind how dirty it is)

Also don't mind the wing, it's stock trunk is going back on which has the 00-02 lS wing/95-99 z24 wing.

Very similar build to Imphat0260 and he ran around 280 at the wheels on his at 9psi on the T3/T4 - Like I said, its estimated. It's never been on a dyno nor on the track.

No,but Ive been in eco's and ld9's with well done turbo setups that werent making that power. Especialy on stock motor and only 9psi? And only using lsj injectors correct? Im not argueing anything saying its not possible, but thats a little steep of a number to just guess on even comparing to a similar setup. Anyways, Im not trying to jack this thread all up just stating my opinion.

You selling the innovate wb jazer? If so what model?

icemike - Not a stock motor... Completly built asside from the pistons and rods that are waiting to go in. If I tuned it as good as Ryan is a tuner, I was running in the same power range as he was was before I put the cam in... and I noticed a decent gain in power once I did that, so It was even more. This car is NOT slow at all. Im not trying to brag but if you get on it you better have a hard hand on the wheel. The butt dyno tells all

It's an Innovate LC1. Yes I suppose that needs to go too but its technically my BF's so Ill ask him.

Sorry AWD GS - no I do not come with the car

There are many factors to take into consideration. PSI is no gauge without the turbo size.

This is not what this thread is for anyways. I am not here to defend anything.

I want to find a new home for my car & my parts. That is all.

how much do you want for the whole car?

horsepower is how hard you hit the wall, Torque is how far you push the wall with you

For the whole car with everything I have for it, including a stock head, spare cometic head gasket, etc, I am starting the 'bid' around 6k. There is a lot of money invested into the motor/turbo parts.

I have some interest in the car as is, If I part it out, for the Turbo and Wastegate, i donno... 400$

I will meet someone a good distance if they take the car as a whole. I really want to see it go to someone who will finish the project. It is so close to being a very strong OHV capable of high numbers.

John, I think you are familiar with my situation. I hate to give up on it but without owning my own house I dont have a garage to store it and work on it which makes having a project-type car much more difficult. I just don't have the time or money right now to be in the middle of a project. There is still so much left in my eyes to get it where I want it that I just can't be doing this at this point in my life. I HATE to give it up, it will break my heart getting rid of it, but it is just something I need to do

How about tucking it away for a while? There is no law that says you have to work on all the time.

Hell it has been almost 2 years since i touched my truck.
