Funny you mention this. Couple of my buddies n myself have been playing around with the idea of a local j club. We are in Youngstown and were going to use YOUNG J'Z. I am definitely in for an all Ohio club. Didn't make it to the bash this year, but was there last year and met a lot of awesome people. I know of a few people here in town that would most likely be interested. Considering that Ohio is where MOST j's were made, I think that having a Ohio jbody club is a must! Really hope this gets off the ground. Only input I have is that in my opinion if you want to attract owners from all over the state, you may want to look into moving the shows around the state so people on a lesser budget can attend. Will also keep it fair so people in Cleveland don't have to drive all the way to Cincy and vice versa. You could get someone from each "area" to petition local venues for places to show or race. Again this is just an opinion from one point of view, I'm in either way. NO RICE!!!!!!!!!!!

so when is there going to be a meet up?

Well we don't need a site do get meets going, but it would help. I was thinking that we might do one in the middle of this month if everyone can make it into Columbus. When I was taking my photo's by myself I saw a place we all can park and have a place to sit and grill out.

And i also wanna add...the rice comments can keep to yourself. Regardless what your car looks like, its alot like how the bash is - about the people. We don't need this turning into a debate as to whats "rice" and what isn't. I'm not tryin to start a war..just sayin.

Well it is getting better! Only 1 car was in primer this year!

i cannot wait to get the cav done and bring it to one of the meets lol. so there is going to be a meet later this month. hopefully there is one once i get back

btw i also picked up my new computer today, so if i have to download or store stuff to the new laptop it should be no problem. i have a post in off topic about what i bought.

Im opening a shop in Cleveland and working on it right now. Also working on the demo car here with my friends from the North that did the green sky for GM. So make a new post about the next meeting and i will make it a point to drive two hours down to meet up for the evening. But please give enough time so i and others can work out our schedule. I forgot about the bash and would have rolled down in the TRD but i found out aobut the bash that monday haha. Shows how much i know whats going on for shows around here. By any chance is anyone going to Indy Truck Bash? if so maybe we can do a Ohio J-body roll and stay at the same hotel? what you think?

If you are going to be finishing the Cavy then talk to Wade cause he got those Tracklights of Darkstar for the tires, and now he is just selling 5 tracklights wheels only. Might want to jump on that if you have the spare money.

i would have to find someone to buy my reverbs first before i do that tho. i just cannot wait to get the motor done and in and it running so i can hear that t67 gt37r spool up and sound like a jet lol

update: purchased the domain and contacted a guy on getting the site up and running. looked a little harder than i thought it would be, but he should be able to teach me and i didn't want to mess it up.

Anyone wan to try and do a meet August 30th here in columbus? If there is interest we can find a location and do a cookout or something..We've had several good meets down here.. Just wanna keep it central for the first one, but I do agree on moving the meets around, and having caravans and such to them.

Edit: that should be sunday the 31st..though either day would work

If we do in on a Sunday I could be there at 6 instead of 8 like on Saturday. I could maybe get that Sunday off with this much notice, but that just messes with my pay if you know what I mean. I'm off on Friday now if we could do that an afternoon dinner meet. Let me know what we think and we can start a post about this here. I can't wait to see the Toyota Cavy again. I can't wait till I can get mine.

I usually work fri-sun in the afternoon..(gotta love serving)..so It'd have to be a noon meet or so for me tha tI could hang ouy for a bit then go to work..it's usually later on sundays..(not till 5:30 or 6) So let's work out a time..I could also prolly take the sunday off though

Sounds like Sunday might be the best for everyone, but we will let some others chime in on what they fell the best day is. I work Saturday-Wednesday, but I think I should be fine for a Sunday off.
