Been a while since I looked at the auto 4 speed. I know the manual tranny you can, but it would be easier to pull the motor and tranny together and swap them in together. Also the torque converter's might be different ( I'm sure they are), so having the one for the Ecotec would be best.

yea i was gonna snag the converter anyways... JHAND was sayin that there was sumthin wrong with the tranny... like the axel is snapped or sumthin... u interested in helpin with the swap? im yankin the engine 2morro and the goin to yank the eco if i have time after that and all day wed...

Your axles will swap over. If that is all that is wrong then you would be good. I would not mind helping, but I will not be in Orlando until Friday afternoon.

sure... but my delema at the moment (i gotta wait till class 2moroo 2 c) is, my car is at school... that was were i was gonna do the swap... but apparently there isnt school the rest of the week after 2morro... so that kinda leaves me without a place todo the work... and i dont exactly have a way 2 tow it sumwere else...

Is the radiator in the 04 still good? Reason I ask is it is easier to swap radiators (they are different), but you can use your radiator, but you have to do some custom hoses. I would also recommend swapping the BCM's as well. YOu should be able to the pull both motors and tranny's with the wiring and all connected (just disconnect at the distribution block).

well i was plannin on swap the entire wiring harness an pcm, bcm, ecu, etc. along with it since i was there... would i need to do any welding? such as for motor or tranny mounts??

No welding needed. Unplug the BCM, and take the ECU with the engine as you pull it out. Keep in mind if your car has ABS, and if the donor has it or not.

All I can see is the condensor, but I agree the Radiator does not look good, but I have seen them look like that and still be fine.
