Help in trading or selling the cav
Sunday, October 29, 2006 8:04 PM
Help me guys what do I do to sell my car. I mean I am not in a rush but I hate that it is just sitting a garage back home collecting dust. I mean at least it is not costing me money but I would like to get it to someone who is going to want to drive it. I get offers on Mauto http://www.mautofied.com/default.asp?NavX=M2&Results=Detail&PKID=100033919 Any other places you guys know were to sell it that are free and for modified cars? I am willing to trade for a bike but I do not want another truck. I guess I could possibly trade for a nice car though. Any ideas or should I just give it more time? I mean I just want a GSX-R and I cannot seem to sell the car. It has far more put into it, just with the motor mods, then 12,000 it is not like I am asking for a lot of money. There are other cavys going on the site with less mods for about 8,000-10,000 with a lot more miles. Any other suggestions other then drop the price, I am not willing to do that yet and those other cavaliers sold with far less stuff, or know of anyone that would want to trade or buy? I am at my last straw here.

Man it seems like it is never going to go. No one believes it is that fast and it has become worthless to try to explain it to them.

If you got offered a skyline and didnt take it, you are retarded. You EASILY could have resold a SKYLINE for way more than 12

It was not an even trade, to start with I would have to give him 10,000, but thank you for assuming man. Then, it has been on the board for awhile so even if I wanted to turn around and sell it he has been trying for over three months, just like my car, I would have to get lucky and find someone who is willing to purchase it. If I traded for a Skyline and something broke you think it would be easy to fix? That is why I am trading the Cavy. It is one-of-a-kind, hell there are only 3 people in the state who are authorized to work on a Tec 3, and sometimes it is hard to find people who are willing to work on it. You think a Skyline would be any different? Like I said up there if I was not in grad school I would have the time to learn the car and fix it myself, if something went wrong, but how my life is now I do not have the time. I swear the assumptions on this board never end but I appreciate being called a retard. So, if you want to buy my car and turn around and trade him for it then go for it Keith and if you do not can I apply the same intelligence you use and say your a retard for not buying my car and doing that? Interesting thought.

Mylife, yea I looked at your web page nice Grand Prix. I really like the color. Do you like it?

03 ls sport: Huh? It has a racing motor built by Mantapart which alone cost 6,000, it maybe has a few thousand miles on it, It has a Bomex (original) body kit that was about 1,000, the speed-craft custom kit was built there and was over 4,000. It was the first 2001+ to be built by Speed-craft and made custom for the car. To buy a Tec 3 that is at least 3,000. That alone makes it over 12, even if you subtract the body kit, that also does not include the installation and all the other things I have done. Hell to get a Tec 3 programed by a professional, at least in Florida, from scratch cost about 800-1000 depending on what you get them to program. Mine cost about 1000 because of the injectors. I could part out the car and sell it separate but I do not have the time to do it. I understand very few people understand the parts and that is the problem. People do not understand what has been truly done to the car. Most people have never seen anything remotely close to it. The only way to show them would be to get my dad and my friend to race me in front of them. When you pull on a Z06 and a 911 right there you know why the car is worth the money but they do not like to race me anymore, kinda brings down their egos, plus if something was to happen I cannot afford it anymore, part of why I am selling it.

Mylife: Yea I think I am going to miss this thing when it is gone too. It was so nice having something everyone checked out and the ultimate sleeper. You guys ever do anything in Tallahassee, like car gatherings or anything? Would be nice to meet some new car people.

I have been eyeing a reason why to stay in the J body scene.

1 of them is Find someone that needs to dump a great condition 00-02 Indigo blue Cavalier that has a built motor with Turbo or S/C. But has to be in the price range that I can get my bank to approve the loan for me.

Sell the Bodykit, Hood, and wheels. lol

I am in no way saying I will buy it, But I am contmeplaiting.

What stock parts do you have?

I got the rims, most of the motor parts to take it back to stock...All I did not keep was the factory exhaust, hood and kit. What price range are you looking for. If you can take if off my hands before the New Year I might be able to work with ya.

I won't be able to take it off your hands before new year.

Honestly I can only look towards spring time. Or atleast after I get through tax time.

This is just about exactly what I am looking for.
