My clutch pedal sank to the loor last night but heres the entire story. So im driving down Barrett Parkway last night, noticeing my clutch is acting really wierd it just didnt feel right all day and really the day before too. I pull up to a stop light and one of my buddies in a turboed '00 Civic Si and a guy in a 97 accord 2dr with an H22 motor is inbetween us. My buddy revs his engine lettin everyone know its turboed the guy in the accord revs his so were all about to race. Light turns green we take off i have them both by a car length when i go to put it in 3rd and when i hit the clutch it stayed on the floor. Now my car is in neutral, in traffic, and the closest gas station is about 100 yards up thankfully on the right and im in the right lane. so i put on my flashers and wait for traffic to move when i have enough room i rev the motor and force the car into 1st and just stay in 1st till i get to the gas station. Couple of people are sayin it could be my pressure plate what do yall think? i mean its all still under warranty but i just kinda wanna know what it is and if anyone else has had this propblem? Oh and i saw a couple of js pass by me thanks for ALL the help yall didnt give me.
Could be your CMC or TOB. Did you lose fluid?

Not all J-body owners are JBO members.

that's sux man. you know if I passed you, I'd stopped. look on the bright side this gives you the opportunity to buy like a stage 2 clutch and new flywheel and ....well I'd use it as an excuse!!

AIM & Y!: COGcaviZ24
- check fluid
- blead system
-check all lines and anywhere it could get hung up
if that dont work then you got a problem
i know all j drivers arent JBO members i was just sayin if any of them happened to be.
Im not losin any fluid or nothin but i called Bill Heard Chevrolet on Barrett Pkwy and they said they only do small like maintenance work on saturdays and there gonna start on my car Monday so HOPEFULLY next weekend ill have it back.
hey man lol that iz so funny that u put this @!#$ up here since the same exact thing just happened to me and my best friend cuz we have the same car both 04 first was his at about 35,000 miles and it was his clutch hose and then last week was mine an 35,987 miles i was so freakin lucky only had 13 miles till the warrenty went out and it was my clutch cylinder i think its the thing that holds the clutch fluid but anyway i hope everything turns out ok
yea you got pretty lucky on that one Mike how long did it take them to fix it?
Yeah your problem is not the clutch it's self. Either the throw out bearing or clutch master cylinder.

Ok well went and checked up on my car and the mechanic at Bill Heard said it was a small hole in a hard line that was the entire problem. They thought it was my master cylinder too and where so sure of it that when they pulled the car in they went ahead and got the part and sat it on my car. But anyways long story short it is a small hole in a hard line and my car should be ready no later than tomorrow afternoon. Thanks for all the help yall.
