It still gives you a noticeable improvement
 
 
adding just an intake doesn't give noticeable improvement.  it's all in your head.  
besides, $50 for a used generic intake that you can get on ebay for $25 just isn't gonna happen.  it's not even a real CAI.  it's a short ram or WAI.

exxxxactly.  a COI would drop down into the bumper, or to make it functionable you would need a ram air hood to direct the cold air into the filter.
its a cheap intake that could be homemade.  if you wanted to get $50 for a used intake it better be an injen or AEM, not a sweet polished blue bong pipe.
 
 
I had the Hood so it was a CAI. It is a Bomz not a Cheap E-bay find. Bomz stopped making it for the Cavalier. Sorry it is a RAM AIR
