i wanted to put the 2.4L cam actauters and cams and valve springs but the guys at work told me that this won't work as well i think. if u didn't know the 2.4L has VVT.


04eco (roy) . do u just have bolt ons or do u have so valvetrain work done??

do you mean the 2.4l ecotec thats not out yet having VVT..
if so that engine isn't coming out until the solstice shows up

the cams cost $540 i believe after i got my $100 core charge back and they are fairly aggressive with an exhaust you would plainly hear a lope you can feel the lope as it is while its idling but no drivablity issues, not much if any bottom end loss

dave --- i raced a friend of mine with an 04 auto sunfire and was dead even when we were both stock and now hes still stock and i beat him by about 5-6 car lengths so im guessing mid 15's and im an AUTO hahaha

ive been concidering getting the patriot stage 2 head but still not sure yet that part is a ways away yet haha stage 2 ready to bolt on after you put your cams in is 1300 and then theres like a 300 core you get back
