What are you talking about Brandon??

So I will see you thursday? The back brakes are squeeking like mad now this week, anyway to fix that without ripping the drum covers off? I hosed them down with break cleaner when I painted the drum covers. Would the cleaner talk all the lubricant off the brakes and cause them to squeak? The front's stop on a dime, but the backs are loud, lol. Always a problem!

I was laughing too today because the front alignment is so far off with the tires that came on the wheels. The camber is outragoues! You can actually see the wheel leaning into the wheel wells upfront, but in the back they are straight. Time for new tires and powder coating though. I get my stocker back from my dad next week sometime and I'm gunna have the tires dismounted so I can work on the lips before they get coated so if I scratch the paint, no biggy. 1 Wheel is getting replaced due to massive curbage take a chunk out, but the rest are just getting re-coated. Then I'm getting new 225/45/17's. Probably BFGoodrich KDWs

That thing is becoming a Lemon heh steve?! *repents from obligatory "shoulda kept the cav" statement*

And this was what I was talking about.. 08 ninja, its only a 250 but has all the hawtness of the 600's and I only need one to save on gas since I have to drive all over.

Did I mention the color just screams my name LOL

*of course that gawdy tail section would be have to go.

I got to see how nice my brakes worked tonight. Merging onto Q Street some guy in a F-150 pulled forward to far, well when I went to pull out some guy in an Envoy was doing like 55. Locked Dem Up!! Those puppies stop on a dime! Well now the problem is a clunk noise from the front of the car, which I think is coming from the struts, not sure.

I got to my dads and went to pull on the wheel to make sure the lugs were tight thinking that might be it... finger missed the spoke as I was talking to my fiance and I grabbed the back of the rotor ... Blistered instantly. Not a good night.

Although I did convince the wifey that if this car is falling apart in the way it is, (Thursday the moonroof leaked and the headliner is like stained lol) I should just trade it in for something different.

So There is a good possibility that I could be car shopping again. I owe $7,000 Nada has the car listed for around $12,500 for trade in. So I'm looking around $5000 in trade in. Maybe I could get the tiburon I wanted... or a newer mustang.... or a Cavalier LS Sport, or a Subaru Legacy GT Turbo!

..and you'd have a better looking car imho.
... plus ALOT more performance potential... wouldnt a stock S/C'ed cavy take out a stock CSS?

Yeah, but for twice the price tag. $26k for 260hp/260tq.

We shall see. Flaresnipe is gunna buy my wheels. Maybe I will actually like how it sits on stock wheels again or something.

Brandon, you've killed all my socket wrenches now lol

One of the lug nuts is so tight on the driver side wheel that I can't get it off. I no longer have any socket wrenches and now can't drive my car to get more because I have nothing to tighten the rest of the lug nuts with...

Bad day for steve.

Got it!! What creative thinking. I found a socket that fit into my lug nut wrench and then into the key.. got it off no problem. Gunna have to invest in new tools now. Ruined 3 socket wrenchs. I was using that size 18mm wrench as a breaker bar, but that didn't work too well.

Wheels are sold and gone I didn't want to sell them.

I laughed though because I locked myself out of my apartment and cal pretty much threw me onto my balcony to get in. I called the office and no one was there to bring up a key.

I need new tires.

What's the widest I can run on my 15x6s safely? 215/55/15s were the best match, but nobody makes any. 205/60/15s are 2% too fast, but have lots. Bridgestone Potenza RE960s on Tirerack are cheap!

Thats what happens when you use a 3/8 drive to take off lugnuts LOL

Use your tire Iron.

I didn't think it would fit the key at the time... lol, i'm dumb leave me alone!

New window got re-tinted today. Looks much much better.

Still gunna mod the car, just gunna budget for it more

I know you can get 225/50/15's in some performance tires, not sure about the 6" wheel though.

Steve you know you want to get an 03+ LS Sport, I am thinking red two door with a sunroof. Acutally if I could do it all over again I would have got the base model with the Sport body kit on it. I was looking at one of those when I bought mine.

Now I am just thinking about the weight I could have saved.

I do like the sunroof, power windows, mirrors and door locks too though.

Brandon is all I need the hubs or would i need the ABS sensors from an SS if I want to swap to a 5 Lug?

Re: Omaha and surrounding area's... (clean)
Tuesday, April 15, 2008 5:51 PM
its probably going to be easier just to swap in new CSS parts, since I guess it was my F* up, If you get the parts I'll do the front no charge.

and this happened last night/morning.. i'm reposting from NESS
I was leaving school around 10pm last night and all the sudden my car just shuts off and wont restart.

I thought the timing belt broke the way it felt, so I popped the hood, turned the motor over and the Tbelt was OK.
A couple classmates stopped thankfully (Jake/Tou I owe you guys dinner ) and were able to flag down our teacher, the legendary Al Cox

He took a quick wiff under the hood and said the balance shaft belt was broken and it took out the crank sensor.

Well I had it towed to my shop and finally got to bed sometime between 2am and 3. Coil pack passes ohm specs so I decided to take the crank pulley off and have a looksie and seen shreds of balance shaft belt... further teardown found peices of crank sensor all over.

The kicker is I ordered all the timing parts last week and they are scheduled to arrive thursday. So in the mean time I got it all tore apart and ready for the overhaul, pretty much replacing every component on the front case.
Coulda and shoulda been worse but I got lucky, However I'm not going to be a tard and blame it on it being a @!#$ty POS DSM. I'll just chalk it up to poor maintnance by previous owners

LOL no, a guy I work with is letting me drive his beater since he doesnt have a licsense right now, its an 87 Toyota carolla with broken off mirrors, huge dents ALL over the car, rust, mismatched body panels and just alot of damage in general. Its a peice but it is wheels, compared to this my wrecked 1g felt like a Benz.
