it was a pretty deep pot hole... like 2 feet deep. I called the town hall, and they said that a caution sign was suppost to be put in front of it. I took pictures and gave them to them and they gave me the run around. I was going like 45 when i hit it.... posted speed limit. I plane on sueing them. I just got off the phone with my lawyer.

Not trying to be an ass . . . but how do you intend on suing the village, when you hit a pothole during the day and could've avoided it? You know thats what their going to pull if you actually try to go through with it. What time of day was it anyways?

ok let me explain...... I was on a public road, doing the speed limit at night... in a place with no street lights. The town knew of this pot hole (admitted from the village) and there was suppost to me a contruction thing over it and there wasn't (also admitted from the village) their road, and their screw up.... wrecked my rim. Thats how it is their fault. And i wasn't the only person who did damage to their cars.... while in line to talk to someone 4 other people screwed their cars up do to the same pot hole.

Village's are anal when it comes to driving errors. Hell, my friend just got his car back from the bodyshop cause he blasted a shredded 18-wheel tire or something in an unlit construction zone on I-294, and the state claims they can do nothing cause it was a "user error and he should've been looking". They will pull cheap BS, and you'll end up spending more then what you'll gain. If anything, they'll say take it through your insurance company.
