Oil Pan Sealant

I need to drop the pan on my Ecotec, just wondering what sealant to use to seal it all back up and the torque specs if any. Any pointers would be great too!

Go to GM dealer and get the engine sealant. It is $15 for a tube. You also have to put some around the oil pump pick up.

Ok sounds good, and is it pretty obvious where the sealant goes around the pick up in the pan?

Or go to advance and get the grey RHT (rigid high torque) sealant. It's exactly the same thing and only costs around $7 a tube.

You put it on the flat surface of the oil pan, and also the oil pickup tube surface, it is the oval shape hole in the top left corner of the picture. Note that this pic is slightly different from our oil pans, but its the same basic principle.

Ok that sounds easy enough to do, looks like I'll start on it tomorrow and hope that's the fix, seeping a bit of oil out the back of the pan and looks like a piece of the rubber sealant has chipped off and letting some oil through.
