what would be a good exhaust system from headers back for 2004 cavlier 2.2 ecotec coupe something with a deep sound around $500 to $700 or cheaper
thanks
lsj header, thunderbolt spun cat, long thrush glasspack resonator, and a dynomax superturbo. then, take to to an exhaust shop and have them fab up some 2.25 pipework to connect it all.shoul al come out to be the lower end of your scale.

my turbo back exhaust kit

it would probably be under your price range but it would have to be shipped..... its 2.5" stainless mandrel bent, thrush glasspack for resonator and a dynomax super turbo muffler... let me know...
will the thrush glasspack resonator last long if not would like something that going to last long time. on turbo muffler what lenght is good. the lsj header going to get that good price
thanks for the help
its probably hollow by now but no rust what so ever. it still sounds damn good. id use it again if I wasnt going 3"
magnaflow spun metal cat to dynomax 23" bullet to a spintech prostreet = wet dream
see ya!
Don't want to thread jack, but lsj header? Is that a factory header off a cobalt or something?
Yep LSJ is the Cobalt SS/SC

pretty sure they mean the lsj pacesetter header.

And the benefit of this over the pacesetter for the 2.2 eco would be......? I don't know, so serious question.
1/4" larger primaries. Not super important unless you're blow though.

i have an LSJ header if interested. its not an aftermarket pacesetter, but a GM LSJ header.
almost brand new too...had to get mine replaced on my cobalt while under warranty...
new one has less than 10k on it lol. you will still see significant gains from this over the
stock 2.2 ecotec exhaust manifold. let me know if your interested
update on exhaust system
pacesetter exhaust 72c1279
magna flow cat 53035
mandrel bent 2.25" header back
flowmaster 842443
have a couple of questions
1. the elc comes on after about 20 miles i have reset it and does the same thing any suggestion
2.would like a little deeper sound not so raspy when i get on it any suggestion
Your missing a resonator. That will defiantly help. Most high flow cats.don't filter enough for o2 sensors. Your best bet is an o2 spacer. Just Google it, they aren't very expensive.

nope, that's just the magnaflow cat. i'm not a big fan, they charge for the name, not the product.
been running this cat for as long as my exhaust has been on my car... several years later, i have no check engine light and it has no rust anywhere on it.

Thats the same cat I'm running on my Altima, haven't had any lights on yet since I put the headerS on.

Look at my recent thread of "catback exhaust fitment issues. I listed 3 good places to purchase a system. I know you want header back but I just ordered an extra 2 ft of piping and connected it to my header. My new system isn't rivet or loud. I am very happy with the sound and performance with having no cat nor glasspack

Why does everyone love the dynomax superturbo mufflers?
I'm looking to change my vibrant to something else throaty. I don't like the high pitched metallic sound at higher rpm's.
And I didn't want to start a new thread.
BTW, I have the thunderbolt cat as well. 3 months so far and no CEL. Definitely worth it.
everyone loves the super turbo because its one of the best flowing on the market, and it sounds awesome. I went with the biggest one i could find for my car and its huge but should be mellow and silent.
Okay so if I like louder but not obnoxious like my vibrant, then I should probably not get that muffler then... What about the thrust welded?

thrush welded is a cheap knock off of a flowmaster super 44. it sounds terrible.

Look up the magnaflow muffler on my profile. Part no. Listed. Sounds awesome. Not loud or throaty. My last magnaflow oval muffler was. This one is perfect. Top end isn't loud either. Nice sound and performance.
