Is there a 6 speed trannsmission swap for a 2000 2.4 liter cavalier z24? I hate the 5 speed. Im also interested in an lsd.
I got a 6 speed which will fit your 2.4, $50,000 and it will take me 2 weeks to get. PM me if your interested.
Now what on earth 3 banger did you swap in to need gears close enough just to go 108 mph?! Seriously, though, unless your car is track-only, heavily modified, and incredibly well built, I doubt you need a 6 speed anything in a J. I'll save the flaming and trolls for the pros.

I know i can use some shorter gears around here with all the hills and grandma drivers that drive 20 under the limit. Under thouse conditions my RPMs are too low that it bogs down or the are too high that i waste fuel following someone at 2800-3000.

Who said anything about 108 mph. That limit was removed long ago. I just think a 6 speed would nice to drive. Everyone wants more ratio. I agree with Tinkles, @!#$ grandmas on the road. A six speed with an lsd would be very nice
I dont have an LD9(ECO

), but to the best of my knowledge there is not a 6-speed you can swap in(for the LD9). But there might be a possablity for an ecotec, which im currently looking into. But so far im coming up empty.
What tranny are you looking into that you think will fit onto the ecotec? back when I was planning a 3400 swap I had always thought about swapping the G6 6 speed into it as well, to be different. I'm buying an LS Sport now and I didn't know there was a 6 speed trans out that would bolt on to the eco.
1997 Sunfire SE
saab has one bolted on a ecotec in there cars.
click me
depending on weather or not the ecotec and the older motors have the same bolt patterns you might beable to use it. I'm not sure on this.
