^haha yeah, I love of egg'n it on. Well you cant blame me for trying....lol
I really dont care where you list it, just finish it up and get sheets up on here!!! -I'll say it...this WHOLE thread is WORTHLESS without dyno charts man......worthless.
yea yea i know...well heres the dyno sheet of my new tune compared to the old tune from the last dyno day i had...ill have it retuned and dynoed as soon as i get the header back...but i think its turning out pretty good so far

..i actually expected more tq out of it though...
I guess the "powers that be" need to change the list to say "Quad 4/Twin Cam" instead of "2.3/2.4"........
I just assumed that everyone understood it was just a label for the engine family, not a limit on displacement.

yea i had the Tsudo 4-2-1 header, 2.5" collector that I put a step-up on it to 3" last year (doh)
this year its a straight 3" through a modified OBX 4-1 cobalt SS header 3" ID collector.
I don't think 3" on an n/a car is overkill really.. it may hurt lower midrange torque or might not be optimal across the rev range but it should be a more top end happy which is fine by me.
i need some vids of this 2.6 runnin some flybys

That's how I interpretted it as well. If a Tiwn cam engine can use a Quad4 head and be on the list, I don't see why a Quad4 block can't use a Twin cam crank. If it brought displacement up to like 3.0L then I guess I could see why people might get all teary eyed about it. Isn't it the overbored stroker more like 2.55L of displacement, anyways?
BTW...Nice numbers Scott. I would suggest a resonance tuned intake manifold after you're doe with the header. Good luck.

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.
yea..some intake work would probably help...also id like to find a larger TB still...but i dont see one in site

if anyone knows where i can find a 58 or 60mm tb for a quad plz point me in the right direction

thats exactly what i was trying to get at, we all see it as a quad or twin cam section, its not the same world or class to where we are saying this is a 350 and this is a 383 stroker, where in that case it would be separated due to population of the motors.
scott man get that header!!!!! and get more dyno sheets goin, plus i think we all need plenty of vids

I had a FDP 65mm on my Twin Cam...... hard to come by any more. I know Karo had a 75mm 4.8/5.3/5.7 T/B on his setup...... a little welding on the 2.3 intake, and your set! (well, after you figure out the cables.... but the electronics are the same)

nothing to take pics of just yet

.. car is still at the shop..ill be getting an update from them tomorrow...with any LUCK ill be able to pick up this coming weekend..but the weekend AFTER was the deadline i gave them so well see..as soon as i see something ill post pics..and dyno sheets will follow shortly
looking uber sexay! Can' t wait to see em' installed!
F you Brian! i need one FIRST
and about the "2.4" not being a "quad-4" better take a look at a GM parts catalog......
shows my old 2002 Z24 as havening a "16V QUAD-4 DOHC" IDI cover......
Even GM SI refers to it as a Quad-4, just a generation thing. its like this, there all GM 350's, but a 66 vett had a LS1, by NO means is it the same LS1 as my GTO has, but both are 350's. just mine is a gen III.

damn I feel left out.
I'm gonna have to get a custom header this year too!!
lookin awesome man!
long live the 2.6 stroker!!!!
2 poppin 6 droppin
thats is pretty. so its routed under the subframe? how much did it end up costing you?
cant wait to see dyno numbers
not done paying yet lol ..getting the header chrome ceramic coated this weekend..should have it back on the car next week in time for lone star bash and have it on the track..of course itll need a few tuning tweeks but should be fine for some track runs
awesome man!!!
holy hell that thing looks long....
Wow, this thing is really coming along. Hopefully with the header and intake work you can boost up the power. That dyno chart looks rock solid though.
Looking sexy. Where did you get the valve train components?

Nice header! Did you put an O2 bung on that collector? Might want to do that before ceramic coating. If not for a full time O2 sensor, you can use it for a wideband sensor.

just welded up TWO 02 bungs today before sending it off off for coating...had a small problem with the header i JUST noticed though...the ports on the flange were too small

..the exhaust ports on my head are port matched to the gasket..and the welder didnt have a gasket or anything to go by..so now i gotta grind off some metal at the ports on the header to make sure it flows well...no biggie i guess
Great, I didn't see the O2 bungs, so I was wondering. Good to hear. That is a mean header.
