Hey,
I have one of those THERMOCAP radiator caps that is set to 16 psi. It has a built in temperature gauge. If knew to some people, check out Mr. Gasket Thermocap

I'm trying to find out what our Stock radiator caps are set to, PSI wise. I know the PSI limit helps the car maintain its normal temperature without overheating. Don't want to use this cap on new radiator or stock one for that matter if its the wrong PSI.
Thanks

The cap we used on my custom tank was a 15 psi unit.. which is what I 99.9% believe stock is.

I think you're right... If I purchased a 16 psi cap; make any difference?

since when do we have radiator caps...?
we have the cap on the reservoir, but no radiator cap...
on a 2.2 or 2.4 ive never seen one on my 2.4
no matter the engine..there is no radiator cap..just a resevoir cap...i even have the griffin aluminum radiator from the GP and it doesnt have a cap either
maybe its on the bottom? or an internal cap?
I've wrecked enough J-car rads to know there's no cap on the rad, at least on the third gens. There is the 15-psi cap on the reservoir tank.

I am guessing you haven't worked on a whole lot of vehicles i know for sure my wifes 89 oldsmobile 98 regency brougham has a radiator cap it on the passenger side.
that reminds me what is the best thing to repair the coolant over flow resivor with?
will jb weld hold up to the heat, the pressure or is there some thing better to use?
silicone?
epoxy?
2 part epoxy, its white and black, and becomes silver. wont work on the radiator though. tried that about a month ago and it wont hold the pressure.

Listen F***ers. FASTERTHANAHONDA is a joke because I WORK FOR HONDA. I'll talk @!#$ about Fords to, that doesn't mean I can beat a 12 second mustang.

He was referring to third gen j-bodies
<sigh> this thread FTL
my questions:
1) who sells performance radiators for Jbodies other than griffin in the GP forum?
2) why put a higher pressure cap on your radiator -OR- why put on a "performance" radiator cap? do you plan on raising your water pressure or something..?
3rd gen Jbodies do NOT have a radiator cap
