what parts can you take from the 2.3/other motors(if any) and fit them on to the 2.4 besides the cams....cause i need a new throttle body and i want a high output one....can i get this off a 2.3....oh and how hard is it to put on a new throttle body....considering all i'v done is a few oil changes and put on my WAI?....
Thanks chris

Pretty much everything from the 2.3L Quad4 can be adapted to the LD9 except the crank. And there really is no such thing as a "HO" throttle body. All 2.3L Quad4 engines come with a 56mm TB.

x2 ..just about everything is swappable...parts wise..some need more modification than others ...the crank wont fit at all ...but anything else is has potential
cool soo if i get the 56mm tb from the 2.3L will i need the intake manafold? ....oh and will this give me much power....or should i just get ahold of a stock one?

much power? doubt it..would be nice if you dynoed it though so everyone would know for sure

.. itll bolt to your manifold as far as i know..however i would get the throttle bracket that comes with the 2.3 tb
Cool thanks man!!!

The quad4 TB uses 2 larger bolts to mount to the manifold, while the LD9 uses 4 smaller ones, but the TB holes do line up with the LD9 manifold holes. So, you could always drill one or both of the other holes to use all 4 bolt holes if you wanted too.

my friend has an ld9 and if you swap the cams does it do much or is it more for like future proofing?
apparently swapping the cams give you an extra 10-20 hp depending on yer other mods....
I'm planing on doing them when i get the money

I just did the 2.3 cams/ "secret" cam swap and did a short write up on it, with a review, list of parts, and short overview of the work required. I just haven't posted it up on here (JBO) yet. If ya'll want I can but my opinion is there is more upper rpm power (not 10-20) and a very slight drop off in torque, un-noticable almost difference. Just let me know, I can post it here or give the link to where it is posted.
yea man i read that thanks for the info man!!
