about 4 months ago my engine spun its cam and i had to replace the whole motor now i have a extra 2200 hov sitting in my garage now i was thinking about rebuilding the whole engine for performance like a new head, pistons, valves, the whole thing if possible but i was wondering how much this would help my power and how much it would cost i found this on the internet can anyone tell me if its worth it or where to get the parts to do this
http://www.importperformanceparts.net/imports/pek-cavalier.html i have number 6 is it worth getting ?

Weisco, plain and simple.

Agreed, they're the only company that makes OS pistons for any of the J Engines
Project Resurrection is in full swing!
Tell me about it... I've got an J-body heart in my S-truck's body, and any plans for it that don't include replacement with a larger engine or require an increase in compression lead me right back to them. Personally, I'd like to put their 10:1 slugs in a flex-fuel dime with a turbos10.com stage 1 setup pushin' 4 1/2-6psi while runnin' E85 (That stuff just seems made for rodders) for when it's not under boost. Of course, I'll need to optimize the tune for about 100 octane points to run it year 'round with need to retune for when the weather gets cold (The alcohol content in E85 is drceased down to 75% for better light-off in colder weather). Opps, said too much! Sorry...

cool thanks for the help with the pistons ... is there any other mods like that for my 2200 that will help alot?
