Ok guys I am looking at getting an exhaust put on my 05 2.2 eco. Only other performance mod is an RD FABS intake.
I was wondering what would be the differences between getting 2.25 or 2.5 piping?
I've seen that some people have different views on mendral bends and compression bends what would be the advantages and disadvantages?
As for a highflow cat i see people are using the 94035 , with this is anyone thrown any codes at all for emissions?
I would also like to have a deeper sound , so would this require a resonator?
and does anyone ahve any reccomendations for shops with good quality in the racine/ milwaukee, wisconsin area?
in the end i am looking to supercharge my eco and just looking for the better set up in the long run
thanks
colin

Here's a link to one of the exhaust posts similar to this one that I made a while back. It has a little bit of info. You might check it out.

yeah its not very loud at idle but it sounds good in the higher rpms. I keep wondering if an intake would make it sound louder at idle ?

Basically if you want to stay N/A stay 2.25". If you plan on supercharging, I would go 2.5" maybe even 2.75" but that's probably pushing it if you are just keeping low pounds of boost. The resonator will make it sound a little deeper and it will take out the raspiness that is inherent with 4 cylinders.
here is a clip of my exhaust, I love how it sounds. I plan on putting a header on it soon, so it's gonna sound mean..
Clicky!
Vibrant Catback is by far the best sounding catback i have ever heard. I love the vibrant on my 03 ecotec cavalier!
Hit up www.neverenoughauto.com best customer service you could ask for and great pricing at that.

No not yet. I decided that I am get my supercharger first, then do the exhaust later. But I will end up going back to my post and doing the exhaust very similar to that. I want a very quiet exhaust so that all I hear is the s/c.
Yes, excellent system. I love it, i tell everyone about it and i highly recommend it. Vibrant is the way to go for the Ecotec.
