I heard about this on another forum.

I was having problems with my 2.3 Liter in my 1995 Pontiac Grand Am. I was told over on Quad4Forums.net, that it's possible to change out coils from a 2.2 (or 2.4, can't remember) and use them instead of the coil packs for a 2.3Liter. I've looked on here, but I can't only find this for a 2.2 and 2.4?

The 2.3L and 2.4L coils/assembly are the same. I'm not sure if the ICM from the 95 quad4's are the same as the twin cam's. If not, you would have to reuse your old ICM. To use the 2.2L coils, there are a couple ways to run them

1) Use the complete ICM and coil assembly by cutting your stock wiring going to your ICM and splicing it with the plugs for the 2.2L ICM. You then need the spark plug wires from a 2.2L cavalier.

or

2) Use your stock ICM, cut and rewire what would have originally gone to your coils and run wires directly to the 2.2L coils, keeping track of which wires went to which coil (wire for cylinders 1&4 on one coil and the wire for 2&3 on the other). Again you would need the spar plug wires from a 2.2L cavalier.
